    Good company challenged with growth

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Fort Lauderdale, FL

ProsOverall, Parkson was a good place to work with competent management and extremely fair and ethical business practices. Employees were treated very fairly with a good work-life balance.
Benefits and employee programs were generous and administered fairly.

ConsThe company's main challenge is growing its business with an extremely conservative outlook toward business risk.

Advice to Senior ManagementOverall, the company needs to expand and modernize its portfolio of products and technologies which requires a more aggressive an pro-active approach toward taking and managing business risk. As the saying goes: no risk - no reward.

    High employee turn over rate

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsPrivately owned, so have the flexibility to try new things. Owner extremely dedicated to company and environmental issues. Owner committed to supplying the necessary capital requested by upper management to grow the company.

ConsHigh employee turn over rate. Many reorganizations. Hire a lot of executives that are not familiar with the industry.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake it a point to compliment employees on their strengths and accomplishments, rather than just criticizing them for mistakes. Allow more opinions from field service and outside sales on the directions the company should be heading.
