    Pros

They are generally supportive of their employees.

    Cons

Management is confusing. They do not provide enjoyable work spaces. There is no sense of teamwork. Managers are rarely in the same office as their employees. People are left with little direction or support.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Strong need to update corporate culture and create sense of teamwork.

    Pros

JUST A PAYCHECK FOR MOSTLY ALL THE EMPLOYEES

    Cons

    1. No work/life balance or respect for the employees with children.
    2. No real direction from management due to the tensions between management.
    3. Disapproval of training so they set you up to fail even when you are asking for their help.
    4. Management will set colleagues against each other and make no acknowledgement of how they put the chaos out in the office atmosphere.
    5. Management totally disrespects and disregards their own integrity, code of conduct and values, but they will work with all these aspects when they are pigeonholing an employee.
    6. Mental Intimidation and bullying.
    7. Age Discrimination - They always want to hire the "YOUNGER" so as they say - pay them less, make them work more hours , but they never talk about if they have any real skills for the task at hand. So they praise the younger but they need an experienced person to train them.
    8. Manaegment really doesn't care about quality its all about quantity

The list is way too long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to work on the list of cons and they get it right but I doubt.

    Pros

    A nice ESOP employee program.

    Cons

Depend on who you are. I worked on a project for 8 years, now they are kicking to the curb. I can not believe it.

I have been working at Parsons Corporation as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Office Culture is great! Being on a project you get to work with so many people from different areas.

    Cons

The focus is on engineers for career growth. Nearly impossible to move up on a project or learn something new. Everyone is not offered the same benefits. RIF's are no fun

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on the supporting team, not just the engineers. Offer the complete benefits package to ALL employees.

So risk-averse that its hard to imagine growth.

I have been working at Parsons Corporation full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Parsons is a huge corporation with several different divisions. Their offices are spread throughout the US and the world. Telecommuting is common and accepted, which is a huge pro. Salaries are competitive. Support staff (Talent Management, Procurement, Finance, Contracts, Project Controls, etc.) are excellent and responsive.

    Cons

Parsons is so risk-averse that innovation or new growth is hard to imagine. Parsons grows by acquiring smaller companies with no apparent strategy for melding corporate cultures. The markets that Parsons chooses to focus on seem to change with the wind and its all about short-term gain with no appetite for the long game. Benefits, particularly PTO, are antiquated and the bureaucracy is so rigid that there is no room for negotiation with regard to PTO. Even at a high level, PTO for a new employee is only 2 weeks. The notion of "One-Parsons"--that is to say, working with and across Global Business Units--is a farce. In reality, cooperation between the GBUs is extremely difficult and not supported by Upper Management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper Management of Parsons Government Services is extremely risk-averse and almost entirely focused on the US market. With the exception of Parsons' large presence in the Middle East, Parsons Management demonstrates no desire or appetite for expanding into other areas of the world--a stance that benefits Parsons US and international competitors.

    Pros

Hard work and efforts are respected. Great benefits. Flexible to a variety of schedules (part-time, work from home, etc.)

    Cons

Most good employees work far more than 40 hours/week. If there isn't enough work on the table, headcount is reduced, making for unstable job security.
