    Pros

Kind of flexible schedule, starting between 7:30am to 8:30am, ending between 4:30pm to 5:30pm.
Sweetest office manager, very invested in each employee's growth at work
    free flu shot!

    Cons

Very small office - easy to get swept up in the stress of busy seasons
No employee benefits beyond free flu shot/disability insurance.

    Advice to Management

Be consistent and clear in your expectations, and bring your humor out of the 1950s.

    Pros

Short work hours to accommodate family demands; independent work as a portable vaccine clinic provider; opportunity to conduct vaccine clinics in a business setting. Company contacts you by email for work opportunities that require travel by car to businesses that require employee vaccine coverage. You pick and choose which opportunities fit your schedule. Passport to Health sends the vaccines via FedEx to your home the day before you work, and you mail back the unused vaccines via FedEx.

    Cons

Company rarely will accept travel reimbursement expense requests, such as gas and wear and tear on your vehicle, or pay for time spent driving long hours, that can be anywhere from 1.5-3.5 hours each way for flu vaccine clinics. The scheduler does not respond back when you have submitted your intent to work schedule. You have to send a second email to inquire if any of the work opportunities are being assigned. You have to take out your own taxes from your hourly pay; Passport to Health does not withdraw taxes for temporary workers. They do not pay workman's compensation for accidental needle sticks, so you have to have private insurance for your own healthcare needs, if necessary, as well as professional liability insurance, since you are working as a part time worker who is contracted independently.

    Advice to Management

Better communication feedback for the independant RNs who submit work proposals/acceptances. Our professional calendar gets cleared in anticipation of working, only to get no response and then a decline after a second inquiry is made.

    Pros

It's a good way to gain some experience or earn some money while in between jobs. Hours are flexible and it's interesting to run flu clinics in so many businesses and meet so many different people.

    Cons

Hours are unpredictable and variable. They can be disorganized regarding hiring and scheduling. However, if you call them they are helpful.

    Advice to Management

    Improve organization!

    Pros

    Relatively relaxed atmosphere. Free coffee.

    Cons

Not much focus on quality. They don't seem to want to improve their business processes. Team leads are entry level representatives with little or no bona fide Management training. This company not appear to want to build a strong, cohesive and efficient work force. People are easily expendable.

    Advice to Management

Have executives institute MBWA or Management By Walking Around. Employees do not feel valued or that their input is valuable. Managers and employees alike don't even answer emails and often don't address issues period. Why not focus on eliminating constant rework and answering the same business related questions over and over again? This is a small time operation that overall lacks professionalism and quality and is miles away from excellence.

    Pros

Passport Health offers a tremendous opportunity to motivated people. The entrepreneurial environment is a great fit for smart people with ideas about how to facilitate the rapid expansion of this company. Working as a team fosters a collegial environment that strengthens common goals of improving processes, maximizing efficiency and bolstering the philosophy of the woman who founded the company two decades ago. If you're a self-starter who is not afraid of in-depth thought about building a business, this is a great place for you.

    Cons

While Passport Health offers excellent opportunities, its rapid growth can be a bit overwhelming at times. Building great teams takes time. And the right fit can be hard to find. Occasionally, one can feel somewhat taxed.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Mentoring and guidance is key to everyone's success. And it is done well at Passport Health.
