    so so - not bad

Software Specialist (Former Employee) Baltimore, MD

ProsThe work environment is the best. The managers mostly don't do micro management. Time offs are ok as long as they don't hamper any critical release.

ConsLow pay and one tends to get lost in the crowd. Job rotation is not considered mandatory unless the employee asks for a change, one could get stuck in a project for years. The company goals are not well communicated to the employees on a regular basis.

Advice to Senior Managementtake care of the employees better, conduct appraisals in a better fashion, provide better training to employees

Patni needs to go into Active mode from passive mode

Project Manager (Current Employee) Holtsville, NY

Proslive a stagnant life, retired life. Patni has a lot of scope to improve in communication area. The communication between the heads in Mumbai office and thebranches in other countries is all broken. also they can learn from mindtree consulting. get some more brilliant guys like they do in Mindtree and compete aggresively. also get some more training from the vendor who will be more professional rather than the inhouse trainings. having said that patni also has some plus points. as they do have a laid back atmosphere at delivery sites. so if you want to live a retired life than its a good place to be. but expect just less 1% increments in a year.

ConsNo Training, No investment in employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest in people's training in USA

Compensation is the key for quality software service

IT Project Manager (Current Employee) Marlborough, MA

ProsCompany is very good if you are not too amitious. It provides some human touch in business which is best part. They are considerate for personal needs of employees. They give oppurtunities to change to different technolgy and domain. However, when it comes to money, the pay package is very embarassing.

ConsShow me the money..compensation structure is the worst among the competetors. It is something like they have taken worst attributes of each company and consolidated into their compensation system. Employees are of low morale due to this. They have too many self imposed processes which hinder the support team performances.

Advice to Senior ManagementShow some aggression..not on employees, but with the prcess and management

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
