Former Employee – worked at Paulaner HP USA as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – Good product base and decent working environment. Travel opportunities and entertainment galore. Definitely has it's great times.
Cons – Definitely has it's horrible times, though. Long seasonal hours, an obvious lack of effective communications between suppliers and distribution (no one know's what's going on half the time), demanding and often overburdening work loads. A lot of distributors laugh at and mock the company due to its lack of coordination and constant haggling and often refer to it as an example company to avoid. Too many battles to fight with too little troops. Plus Germany likes to meddle and "know what's best" for the American market, which ends up tying up the administration for hours or days on end, distracting everyone from their main objectives.
Advice to Senior Management – More feet in the field, better brand exposure with better distributor sales incentives and rewards programs. Plus, your high turnover rate seems to affect your employee and customer confidence. Plus, your high goals and demands on individual work load burns your employees out very quickly.

Former Employee – worked at Paulaner HP USA full-time for less than a year
Pros – Free beer once a month
Cons – If you have any self worth RUN!!! Good people go to waste here. You will never get out from under Jeff or Colleen's thumbs. Jeff will have you going in circles with his indecisiveness. Jeff and Colleen will squeeze ever minute out of every day out of you. If you value any type of home life and family; this is not the place to work.
Advice to Senior Management – Stay out of matters you know nothing about and let the professionals do the jobs they are hired to do.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Paulaner HP USA
Pros – Great German Brands with a very strong tradition. Two of the six brands found during Oktoberfest. People love the brands.
Cons – Management is awful. Budgets are low. Beer is too expensive to sell effectively. Expenses aren't repaid quickly and are haggled. Salaries are low and base salaries subject to bonus type qualifications.
Advice to Senior Management – Much about the management team seems to be lacking. Turnover has been high, the brand trends are awful and almost everyone wonders what the brands are doing with this management team.

Advice to Senior Management – Think about employees who is working for Hp growth Reward them ,retain them...concentrate on employees not on Acquisition's of new companies...if you forget your employees one or other day you not have new joinees to join in hp...hp name is already effected very badly in market.

Current Employee – been working at Paulaner HP USA
Pros – Nice mix of young, progressive people, with support of quite a few wine and beer industry veterans. Generous on free beer, free wine, and time off when needed.
Management has a solid plan and won't be denied.
Cons – German ownership visits and while friendly, seem to always be looking for something wrong.
Advice to Senior Management – Get to know Colleen and Jeff. They know what they are doing, and are supportive of people who want to learn, growth, and excel.

Pros – Great brands! It's a new company so bumps in the road should be expected. To the person who just replied they agree. You either just left and were overwhelmed by BUILDING a company. Or, you're just not able to put in a good days work. IF you still work for us, please do us all a favor and resign. We have beer to sell and you're obviously more of an ordertaker!!
Cons – Young company with growing pains!
Advice to Senior Management – Less admin work and more time on the streets! We're Herr to sell beer and there has to be an easier way to effectively track the numbers Germany wants from us.
