I have been working at Paymentwall full-time

    Pros

Paymentwall is an amazing company to work for where you will learn a lot. This is definitely a company where your voice will be heard and where your work will have a direct impact on the product.

I have been working with super smart people from totally different nationalities and cultural backgrounds, and everybody is working towards the same goals. The team is really close to each other which creates a really cool atmosphere in the office, it is laid-back but everyone is driven to achieve the shared goals.

Each team works on a specific product or project and is fully responsible for the outcome. Paymentwall's hierarchy is very flat so you also won't have managers blocking your product!

Another great thing is as Paymentwall has partners all over the world it's always crazy that when you land (whether on a business trip or vacation) in a random city, you'll run into acquaintances from the industry that you can meet up with and have a good time!

    Cons

As a fast growing company, engagement and dedication is very important. You may have to spend hours of work and late night calls communicating with partners and teammates in other parts of the world. But with great engagement comes great rewards as you see your products going live and your personal goals accomplished.

I have been working at Paymentwall

    Pros

They throw parties, have great meals, shower you with Apple products

    Cons

Management is more focused on creating a lifestyle rather than a product. Get ready to throw out your virtues, ethics and personal credibility for the betterment of the company. Shady is the best word to describe them.

All of the exit money will go to pay past company and management liabilities

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go feed the homeless that surround your illegallymaintained maintained San Francisco building. You may learn something about yourself.

    I worked at Paymentwall full-time

    Pros

    - free food
    - offices in good locations

    Cons

    - CEO is verbally and emotionally abusive
    - No sign of professional leadership skills, one is constantly faced with criticism of trivial nature
    - Employees are randomly attacked for their personal characteristics incl. appearance
    - Very high staff turnover
    - 24/ availability is a must. Being off sick is not accepted, your integrity & commitment to the company will be questioned
    - Some people are spying on your work & private life
    - Very low salaries
    - Lies are part of the internal communication to e.g. badmouth other/former employees
    - Advice: Do not trust anyone incl. HR and read other real reviews

I worked at Paymentwall full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

You'll be working upwards of 12-hr days, (10-hr minimum, guaranteed. Wish I was joking) Work-life balance? Quatsch! They'll try and justify this because "it's a startup". Ha! They've been trying to use that excuse for 4 years.
*Disclaimer: You'll notice the only good reviews on here were all written within a week of each other. Coincidence? I think not. You can figure out what's really going on here, the writing's on the wall.

    Cons

The even bigger tragedy is that you can't even put this company on your resume for a few reasons: 1)Nobody has ever heard of Paymentwall, even "competitors" 2)Those who have heard of PW, do not have even remotely nice things to say. Go to any conference, ask around the industry, you'll find out real quick. 3)Reference? No. "Management" would rather go out of their way to sabotage former employees.
Do yourself a favor and message any former employees on LinkedIn, find out for you self.

I have been working at Paymentwall full-time

    Pros

    Pros:
-Paymentwall embodies the spirit of exciting “tech start-up” companies who are doing it right. I could tell in a very short time after working @ Paymentwall, the company mission is simple: Deliver a solid product/service on a global scale that works (very) well and serviced even better. How do you do this effectively? Create an environment (aka/culture) that attracts talented techies that enjoy a fast-paced, action packed work week and reward them for the results they create. Not too hard is it?
    Other cool stuff:
-Growing company with opportunities for upward career mobility (both in position & location).
-Great office designs/work environment (SF, Berlin, Istanbul, Vegas, Kiev, Amsterdam, etc…etc...)
-Company culture is “flat” management style.
-Company identifies your strengths and lets you contribute in a “win-win” manner.
-Business model is solely focused on the “digital goods” industry. You don’t realize how much you spend as a consumer on “digital goods” (i.e. Netflix, Spotify, Website subscriptions, Social Games, etc) until you work here and realize.."Pretty cool stuff".
-Company is dedicated to creating high standards in work ethics but in a way that allows you to want improve your game as well.
    -Senior Management is very accessible.

    Cons

    - As with any start-up growing fast, you have a lack of documented process and procedures, but it improves everyday and they allow you to provide helpful input.
-We ran out of Peanut M&M's last week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior Management is working hard, traveling globally and burning the candle @ both ends. Remember to stop and recharge/refresh/reset. (You have a good thing going with employees that "have your back")

I have been working at Paymentwall full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

New challenges everyday, I wake up excited about what the new day is going to bring.
I am learning new things every day and we have been traveling around the world and meeting all kinds of people from different industries. I feel no other company would have been able to give me this experience.
The company allows anybody to challenge themselves, learn and grow and take charge.
The company is very entrepreneurial and open minded about new opportunities in any country and any industry that needs payments.

    Cons

Really long hours due to many different offices around the world and coordination needed between the different offices.
Clients from all over the world also require to stay up late, go to dinners, lunches, events and leaves not much personal time. We travel sometimes months at a time in different parts of the world.
It takes a certain personality with a global attitude and dedication to succeed at Paymentwall, and sometimes people come to work here because of the beautiful offices, delicious food, travel opportunities and cool parties the company organizes but the reality is this is a real business in a very challenging space and success requires a lot of hard work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire more people faster.
    Build more processes.
Somehow figure out who is a fit who is not early on.
    Don't give up on values.

    Pros

A fast paced startup founded in SF. Being in the center of Silicon Valley, you are able to be right in the middle of the tech scene to see what is hot and what is not.

The company recommends going to many startup events to become really part of the scene and even to travel to other parts of the world (Europe, Asia, South America, etc...).

Expect to be thrown into the mix right away and once you understand the company and industry you can really do whatever you want as long as it is benefit and priority to the company.

    Cons

Steep learning curve means you have to learn fast and adjust even faster to the changing industry.
