I worked at Pechanga Resort & Casino full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I can't think of one good thing about this company. The only pro is that it was 5 minutes from home.

    Cons

I worked front desk in the hotel. The biggest con is the check-in process is very flawed. Too much favoritism. Sometimes you would have to work 10 days striate without a day off. You have to clock-in 2 times. Once at wardrobe then a second time at your work area. Putting you in double jeopardy for being late.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My suggestion to management is fix your check-in process. And quite playing favorites.

I have been working at Pechanga Resort & Casino full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

health insurance, Christmas bonus, cheap food in employee dining room,

    Cons

management is an absolute joke, rules only apply when it means getting management out of trouble, tribal behavior is out of control, customers are abusive with no limitations set by managers, politics is apparently much more important than the ability to perform a prospective job

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

get a clue and some genuine concern for humanity

    Doesn't Recommend

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Pechanga Resort & Casino full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Good benefits and beautiful property.

    Cons

The corporate greed of management is evident with an 'every man for himself' attitude. HR lacks the ability to be objective and is anything but helpful to employees who have to endure bullies in the workplace. The Tribal Team Member Relations team tries to keep HR honest, but to no avail. If you have a grievance, keep it to yourself, as HR is NOT there to help employees, they are there to protect management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get back to a mentality that doesn't tolerate bullying in the workplace, by peers or management.

I have been working at Pechanga Resort & Casino

    Pros

Pechanga is nationally known within the gaming industry as being very innovative with the newest technology.

Full-Time Pay and Benefits are competitive - and include:
     - Medical and Dental insurance
     - 401(k) plan
     - Paid Time Off
     - Tuition Reimbursement
     - Free Uniforms

    Cons

As is the case with anywhere in the hospitality and gaming industry - working nights, weekends and holidays can be taxing on one's social and personal life. A Work-Life balance can be difficult to maintain with people outside the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work. PR&C has weathered the recession well, now that the economy is rebounding it will be interesting to see what happens next.
