I worked at Pegasus International, Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great team of people. Upper management was also willing to listen and make necessary changes.

    Cons

Not much work/projects so it was very slow at times. It was tough to advance in your career.

    Pros

Very friendly and open work environment. The management is very conscious of the need to balance work and personal lives of its employees. After the hurricane Ike, the management decided to bolster employee morale by providing free lunch to all workers for a week. The career path is allowed to be flexible. The company tries to create a good balance between what the employee desires to work on and what job openings are currently available. It also recognizes that over time interests may change due to personal growth or changing life circumstances and tries to accommodate these changing interests as far as possible by looking for positions where the employee may feel more comfortable.

    Cons

The company is still small but with new and recent cash infusions is set to grow at a nice pace in the coming years. Additionally, and it is an industry trend at the moment, I've seen quite a lot of employee turn over, with talented people going to other companies.

    Advice to Management

I'd like to see the company diversify to alternative energy construction. Although petroleum is its bread and butter business the world has started to move towards other sources of energy and the relative importance of oil is going to go down on a long term basis. Also, it is a very volatile time in the oil and gas business, with employees changing jobs seemingly at the drop of a hat. It is be very important to come up with innovative ways to retain quality employees.
