I have been working at Pembina Pipelines full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great team building events, very generous with time off, most employees are friendly and easy to approach. Field staff is very efficient.

    Cons

Upper management is very Old School. Onus always falls on support staff to be more 'proactive', but no reciprocity. HR is a joke, they are blind to employee needs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should scale back HR presence, spend more time listening to employees needs, focus on building relationships with employees.

    Pros

team environment, lots of employee incentives, office shut downs on long weekends. benefits are very good. room to grow and move up.

    Cons

majority of departments are dysfunctional, not cohesive, constant conflict between managers within and with other departments. Treat admin staff like the help. HR is pervasive , company driven, oblivious to actual employee needs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat all employees equally.

I have been working at Pembina Pipelines full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Try as I may I have nothing positive to say.

    Cons

Constantly lied to about compensation potential. Salary and bonus structure puts this companies compensatin at the bottom of potential earnings for competitive companies in the area. The company runs extreamly lean on man power.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize you are loosing your skilled people and pay them a competitve wage.

Field employees knowledgeable and supportive. Manangement support field employees fairly well. Adequate training provided for new employees. Decent benefits package.

    Cons

Everyday work involves numerous mundane and boring tasks. Easy to become complacent in position. There isn't a lot of upward career progression.
