Pros
In general for the Armored business, Pendum is right in the middle. They could advance if more attention was paid to employees concerns.
Cons
Pay was less than most of the other companys. Costomer service did not rate good for the time and effort that was promised.
Advice to Senior Management
You are a jack of all trades and master of none of what you advertise. Try keeping the accounts you have before you bid on what you can't possibility deliver.
Pros
It is a company that has a true understanding of where it wants to be in a year from now, and many years beyond on. They have gone out and recruited very smart and educated people that understand how a struggling can be turned around.
Cons
The company tends to promise things in the interviewing process that are not always true and that are never intended to be delivered on. This may or may not be a malicious act however it does affect moral. Moral is at an all time low for my 3 years on this company. Although the finances seem to be getting better it is not trickled down to the people that are expected to do the work every day.
Advice to Senior Management
My advice to management is that they should know what they are going to do before they start doing it. It seems like it has been a trend of the flavor of the week. Working you employees to the bone for something and then never delivering is not the way to build a best in class company. Pendum is doing to their employees what they do to their customers. That is Over Promise and Under Deliver.
Pros
Been with the company just over 5 years now. It was called Efmark back then. Been a lot of change within the company. Some for the good but also some for the bad. My pay is very good for the jobs that I do. I understand that's not so in all parts/areas of the company. I also work just part time with no benefits. The new tech support line is much better than what we had before.
Cons
Slow to get things done On the job training which is not the way to go for happy customers. Also made cuts in mileage pay by 9 cents that hurts when you put on around 450 miles + per week. If you say anything about it they just about tell you "if you don't like it you can find something better" After two and a half years of that mileage on your car you're about ready to trade it in and it's not worth much. So you got to run it till it's paid for which is 5 years for most of us. I got over 65000 miles on a two year old car. What you think it will look like in another three years.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop cutting things that that doesn't need cutting and give us the ways and means to keep our customers happy. If we're not happy how can you expect us to keep them happy. Part timers get nothing but we're one of the 1st line people that deal with our customers.
Pros
Driver/Messenger your on the road always moving. You don't have a boss breathing down your nick all the time and the people on the front-line are great to work with.
Cons
The pay The pay The pay with the bankers making millions on bonus and the people on the front-line making $11Hr and everyone ells making 38k and into the 100'sk the pay is bad low low low we should make $14-$16 Hr for the job we do. You see a banker does not have to wear gun to work.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay your people more and give all the tools they need to do there job right.
Pros
Good people to work with in my region. All of us try to give 100% to the customer and we back each other up. Those of us not in upper management tend to huddle together.
Cons
Payscale is lower than average. Communication from the top is getting better but has been poor in the past. In recent years, this company has been all about who in upper management was going to get the power. The little guy who does the real work was virtually ignored.
Advice to Senior Management
Put the customer and frontline people first. Give the frontline people the tools to keep customers happy and to present a professional image.
Pros
Pendum is currently undergoing major transitions. A new CEO team has taken over and has made promises to bring a stronger working relationship with the employees. This gives me the best hope for the future of Pendum. Pendum is the largest atm service in the industry and if the CEO can bring the needed changes I believe Pendum can be a great place to work. Currently Pendum has merged two companies and have been back by a major bank who has great possiblities. Out with the old in with the new. I hopeful for the employees at Pendum and it's futre.
Cons
Because of the Merge Pendum was operating still as two separated companies and that brought about competion among its own companies. This was self defeating. I feel Pendum have been so performance driven which is good but it forgot about the employees who fuel this performance. At this point Pendum is not a good place to work for those who would like to be in a employee friendly admosphere. Rewarded for not just the efforts but the longevities of those who have been with the company through the tought times. Case and point. I was have been with the company for 6 years as a departmant manager. A new Area Manager took over and is closing down my department not because of my performance but they felt it was better to consildate with their branch in Phoenix. This cause a lost of my position and a $9k cut in salary.
Advice to Senior Management
Become more employee consciences because without us how will you become the best in this industry. Also be more aware of the top heavy management in some of your branches. Case and point. Our Phoenix branch has a Branch manager and Operation manager, a secretary, a Vault manager, a route manager. All we had was a vault manager, Branch supervisor, and route supervisor and we were told we have to much top heavy salary. They did not have that much more work then we did how ever they wanted to cut in our departments. It's decisions like that which I have a problem with. We are talking about the lively hood of hard working people. So I say this to Senior Management be more involed in what your Senior level managers are doing across your branches.
Pros
None at all this place is corrupt
Cons
This company is led by incompetents. They are all not good enough to work elsewhere and openly discriminate against minorities. They think that because the employees make little that they are powerless to stand up to them. The head of Armor lies to employees and lies to managers, when you challenge him he fires you.
Advice to Senior Management
get rid of TS and get real leaders for the company. there used to be some here but the new owners ran them off.
