I have been working at Penrose St. Francis Hospital
Pros – Your co-workers are professionals and have all made it through the C-Level round robin. The gym is a great perk, and the length of employment for most people is very long. Most people are great, knowlegdable, and dedicated.
Cons – Senior management never sticks around for too long. This has caused a sense of un-ease and somewhat directionless staff. There are those in senior management that jump to quickly into bad decisions, and then those that sit on good ideas - maybe that's everywhere, but this a top rated hospital. Funding is an issue, but that is more of an industry thing.
Advice to Senior Management – Pick a track, stick to it and go with it.

I worked at Penrose St. Francis Hospital part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – WONDERFUL team (on the floor I worked on)
Cons – Behavior of management when the chips were down (blowing 5 of their 7 "corporate values". Had surgery in my employers' facility, which was botched. Almost died (I mean REALLY almost dying!). After two months in hospital, I was sent home to recover. Was given notice of TERMINATION, one day prior to checking out. ( Because I "could no longer do the work"!) Lost family's health coverage one month later! Pen/St F - Centura is an evil corporation....
Advice to Senior Management – Reflect more on those values, with EVERY decision that is made.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros – Centura overall is a great company and has great benefits.
Cons – Several of the major departments have bullies that try to run off new employees they don't like.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your employees and don't judge before you know the facts!
