I have been working at Pensacola Christian College

    Pros

Very easy to get a job, great superiors and faculty members

    Cons

No room for advancement in jobs, no bonus or pay increase for going above and beyond. Only crew chief position available for advancement. And only one person gets that job out of 15 people

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow for more advances, give bonuses to hard workers, I have seen people that did just enough to get by because there was no benefit to working harder

I have been working at Pensacola Christian College as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Christian environment
    Mostly nice colleagues
    Willing to train you
    Decent benefits for recent graduates

    Cons

    Mandatory support of Campus Church
    Overreaching expectations on social life
Some upper admin come across as cold
Could got stuck on your desk for 4 hours straight.
Contract extension must be signed too far in advance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage a relax work atmosphere throughout to prevent burn-out.
Allow employees with long-term relationship with a local church to support that local church. (spreading out instead of hoarding).
Give employees more time to consider re-signing contracts.

    Pros

Great work environment. Most of my superiors were very willing to listen to what I believed needed work and changed if it was within their control and beliefs.

    Cons

Strict on thing that seemed to be irrelevant but on some things that should have been addressed they were noncommittal.

I worked at Pensacola Christian College full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

It was wonderful to feel a part of something big and important. The grounds were beautiful.

    Cons

They make you feel like you are part of a ministry - but nothing is voluntary, every part of your life is controlled. Even what you do in your own home. They get away with paying very skimpy salaries by constantly referring to the 'ministry'. Yet they are highly regulating employers.

I worked at Pensacola Christian College full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great education. Godly place, wonderful people. Even though there are things I could put under cons, I won't because they make up part of my growing experience there. Just an all out good place to grow in the Lord spiritually, and in knowledge. You make some of the best friends in your life there.

    Cons

Some people could use a little more Godliness but, they definitely aren't the majority.
