    Pros

It was nice working for a company that treats their employees with respect. There are a lot of fun holiday parties. They even have parties when IT people find new jobs. The HR Dept keeps everything under control.

    Cons

Sometimes big old nerdies hang out in the HR dept and get all up in their business. It's not that big of a deal though.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is doing a good job. Keep it up.

    Pros

This company treats its employees really well and gives great benefits. I've since moved on to a more traditional office position in another company and I will constantly be reminiscing about being back at Peoples. They really seem to care about their employees and will have a lot of inter-company holidays for activities and competitions.

They also hire people based in large part for great customer service so most of the employees are the nicest people you will find, and you will always be happy to come into work and not dread sitting next to someone that will make you hate your life. Overall a very good company in great locations in the Overland Park and Lawrence areas.

    Cons

Probably the largest downside to peoples is that they don't pay very well. But really, the workload from what I've seen isn't too terribly stressful so at the end of the day if you don't mind being just comfortable salary-wise, you could be very happy at Peoples.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to improve payment a little more, but you do a great job in managing an atmosphere that is a happy place to work.

    Pros

Management creates a culture which enables you to make decisions on your own, but is always accessible for feedback and questions. Feels like a family.

    Cons

Compensation for Loan Officers is extremely high. For all other positions, I can not say the same

    Pros

I really am having a hard time coming up with any. The building is nice and I liked the location.

    Cons

The was the wrost place I ever worked. They do not appreciate the employees and can't be trusted. HR is horrible they do not do what they should and I see them being sued for discrimination often. The atmosphere there is tense- the feeling in the air is just uneasy all the time. They treat people like puppets. Certain people are protected they can do anything and nothing happens and I do mean anything. They do not respect the Loan Officers at all. There is more Drama there than you could even imagine. I am so glad to be away from the negative atmosphere and backstabbing people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be someone people can look up to and trust. Stop taking people for granted. The bank will continue to decline. New management is needed period! Very unprofessional staff- a manger should not discuss private information with other employees.
