I have been working at Peoples United Bank full-time
Pros – - 401K (4% employer match)
- PTO
- 12 Paid Holidays
- Disability Benefits
- Employee Discounts/Benefits
Cons – - Extremely low pay
- Do not get recognized for good work (instead, have to pick up after slackers)
- Limited growth, more responsibility = same pay
- Those who are obviously not working, do not get held responsible
- Favoritism, some employees have "special arrangements" while others do not
Advice to Senior Management – - Pay good/educated employees more
- Cut out the waste and hire employees who actually work
- Put better qualified people in management positions

I have been working at Peoples United Bank full-time for more than a year
Pros – The money is very good. They have a good work/life balance.
Cons – Pressured to sell accounts with no support. It's difficult to convince people to change banks if they're happy with their current one. Petty issues, co-workers are not to be trusted, management has no issues with co-workers throwing people under the bus, management always wants to know about your personal life and they grill other employees to dish the dirt. Brown nosers are valuable here. If you have no problem selling people out, work here.

I have been working at Peoples United Bank full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – 401k - they will match up to 4% of your own contribution.
Paid time off - holidays off
Hours - 8:30-5
Cons – Pay is low - They don't care if you have a college degree or experience. You will only get paid well if you are a VP or SVP.
It is all about seniority - seniority always comes first - not experience.
Company doesn't care about loyalty and hard work.
Promotions are very rare.
Pay raises for yearly reviews are pathetic and a slap in the face.
Benefits aren't that great. Only thing that is good is Vision coverage.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay your employees better and they will want to stay with the company.
Better benefits.

I have been working at Peoples United Bank full-time for less than a year
Pros – Stable hours and decent benefits. They provide paid training as well as ongoing on the job training. You are encouraged to learn skills beyond your job field.
Cons – Unreasonable sales goals in some markets. Little encouragement to move up within the company. Also, recognition for accomplishments really aren't encouraging if they happen at all.
