    Pros

*Repetitive work (if you hate change).
    *Health benefits from day 1.
    *Great pay for entry positions.

    Cons

*Management is top-heavy, if you're not a supervisor forget about having your voice heard.
*No room for advancement without the right connections.
*Staff is never recognized so all employees seem bitter or detached from company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Pepsi Bottling full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    The People you work with
    working at your own pace

    Cons

Why would you add 5 people to management but remove 10 people from the stores. its about the customers. these extra 5 management people did the work of what 2 were doing before. The people who work after you
    Managment
    hours
    no help
Everything changed when they did away with the pre sale reps, the company was not the same, not the same attention to detail, nor the ability to be flexible during the day if problems arose, this created very long days, and problems with stores needing early service and deliveries not being there in time.

I have been working at Pepsi Bottling full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great pay & benefits. Pepsi will not fire you, you can only fire yourself.

    Cons

Long hours, and not enough people to cover the workload. Poor management. They are only good for when you mess up. Too many inexperienced "family members". Harder for experienced people to get hired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop thinking that the employees are "crying" about the workload. There's not enough $ to hire more people because we are forced to work several hours of overtime to compensate the workload. Also, we need more women involved.

I have been working at Pepsi Bottling full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good pay, decent benefits, great people to work with. Everyone I work with is positive and helpful. Even on the days when things get difficult, people are there to support you.

    Cons

Sometimes the hours can be daunting. It's also physically demanding and you're literally on your feet being physical the whole shift.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometimes ordering the most product possible for a store isn't always the best idea and it leads to a higher risk for out of date product.

I have been working at Pepsi Bottling full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

if you fit the mold and are willing to relocate many time you can climp the ladder, you will defintly move faster if you are female and your a person of race thats fresh out of college and willing to move around the country [they pay for relocation] you will love the job, just remember no holidays are off , you work weekends and summertime its always a 12 to 14 hour day of heavy lifting.

    Cons

    No weekend off
    No holidays off
    No car
    Long Hours
    heavy lifting
Always coming out with new promotions{too many at one time] and you must implement all, can became overwhelming.
Hopefully you fit the culture,if not you will not fit in
If you are a BCR {supermaket route ] iyou have many people that thik they are your boss
    reciever
    Grocery manager
Store Manager and of course you direct manager. If you have a good degree go for another industry ,this business has been stale for years, thats why you see so many new productrs coming out ,they forgot what got them to the dance and gobble up precious shelf space w/crap ie, Pepsi one,Pesi next, lime Pepsi,Vanilla Pepsi Moutain Dew voltage,M.D. white...you get the point, and make sure these products don"t go out of date.
Its always nice when you get a forced order and it doesnt sell and it goes out of date ..your fault,or your manager bumps your order when you know that store doe:st do well with that flavor, all stores are differant for various reason but they want conformaty that make no sence at all ,Inner city people like regular pepsi and oranges and grapes of the world ,hispanaks love Ginger ale and flavors not Diet Caff free Pepsi ,but if ypour diplay isnt aat standards watch out .This company is one of the strongest company in the world bujt they need to eliminate a number of SKUs and become more flexable in the trade.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More flexability in display, less SKUs,too many dogs in the inventory, concentration on fewer promotions.too many at once,we used to sale in sales ..show up and throw up ,these people give you 2mins at a time if you lucky
