    Pros

This was a company that truly cared about its employees. Opportunities, Fun Work Environment People, Senior Management

    Cons

If they hadn't been forced to merge with PepsiCo's biggest bottling group by PepsiCo I would still be working for them.o

    Pros

Great people. Was able to experience every department. Better understand the work life as a college student. Also free Pepsi!

    Cons

Some points there is a lack of work. I do not think this will be a problem since I was the first intern.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I do not have any advice to management. I thought they did a great job teaching the what it is like to work within a data center.

    Pros

A generally good mix of people to work with. Salaries are good and so are the benefits. I recommend it for everyone.

    Cons

Work life balance can sometimes be less than optimal. Wouldn't want to work in the IT area. Those people always looked stressed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would tell management to just speak to the rank and file in a conversational tone and keep the business jargon to a minimum.

once you were "labeled", it was very difficult to get out from under that label

Former Employee - LAN Engineer in Rolling Meadows, IL

    Pros

Very stable company to work for. You could easily retire from the company. The benefits were excellent.

    Cons

It was very challenging to get promoted and if you made any mistakes you were never really forgiven. They lacked proper leadership to cultivate and mold lower level engineers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Evaluate why managers aren't promoting from within and determine what will it take to get an individual to the next level in tangible way. For example, must complete one course in Micrsoft, must become certified in XYZ and etc.

good benefits, lots of physical excersize,

    Cons

no room for advancement, meager pay for supporting a family

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

consider moving up employees who have been with the company a few years rather than fill management positions with students

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Indianapolis, IN

    Pros

Fun product to sell. Good place to start a career. Never boring. Pay is above average for similar companies in the area. Decent benefits. Matching 401k.

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunities for advancement, once in management. All positions are required to work extra hours around all major holidays. Union shop, which can make simple day to day tasks, very difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop worrying about "checking boxes" and fill open positions with the most qualified candidates.

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

They have a very good benefits program, and being the Pepsi guy gives you some sort of pride when your out and about

    Cons

Very poor communication between management and front line employees. Another big con is that you get absolutely no positive feedback when you do something good. Only get talked to when you end up doing something that is wrong.
Pay isn't as near as much as it should be. Working 50 to 60 hours a week really takes a toll on your body, however we don't get compensated correctly for doing so day in and day out

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to be more effective when communicating to both us front line employees, as well as the local management guys.

Current Employee - Account Sales Manager  in  New Orleans, LA
Current Employee - Account Sales Manager in New Orleans, LA

    Pros

There is definitely a diverse group of employees, which I feel is a good thing. Also, the benefits package is one of the best that I have actually seen.

    Cons

Management has a tendency to micromanage, and seems to not care about any input that the lower level employees may have to share.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

it's ok to ask for feedback
