I worked at PepsiCo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good objective structure for raises. many opportunities to move around the company, however the different divisions don't talk to each other.

    Cons

You need to get into the upper management clique to get anywhere. Females are promoted just because they are females and not on experience and results, because it helps the diversity numbers for the company as the CEO who is also female wants to promote females. People are terminated for no apparent reason. Company just talks about work life balance but does not practice it AT ALL!!

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting females , just because they are females. Hire managers with Integrity.

I have been working at PepsiCo (Less than a year)

    Pros

This company is very stable and has a great product. They are constantly coming up with innovations and new products. There is a huge focus on Diversity and Inclusion.

    Cons

You are made very aware that if you were not hired through the designate program that you are disposable. You will never get praise for what you have done well but will get berated for what you did not do so well in. As a manager you are expected to feed false hope and promises to your drivers about everything from pay restructuring to new route types. Several times a year there are meetings held that seem more like frat parties than business events. Upper management encourages drinking to excess and staying out all night. I've been told by my boss, "the fun is seeing if you can make the bell the next morning."

    Advice to Management

Stop putting such a large focus on the designate program and realize that great people are leaving the company because they are not given the opportunity to advance. Transform the party events into something productive and get rid of the fraternity image.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are the only benefit to this company.

    Cons

Its strenuous work, its merchandising with frito lay, it comes with the field. The training is mediocre to the max, upper management expects you to be a pro in the field in short of a month. If a store manager isnt satisfied with your work (especially if your still in training) you will be fired, (which is HIGHLY UNFAIR). High Turnover rate. Unorganized the list goes on.

    Advice to Management

Better training models, train college graduates accordingly PLEASE,

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This is a great place to start a career. PepsiCo attracts lots of talented great people. This is a good place to start that LinkedIn contact list.

    Cons

Too many to mention: Poor salary, management, horrible benefits. Little return for effort put into your work. Poor long-term career planning.

    Advice to Management

Start growing a real corporate culture and ditch the B1 Visa foreigners who think they're running a sweat shop.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent... And that's about it! That is the only pro that can be said about this company. But they still don't pay that well.

    Cons

Where to start. ALWAYS UNDERSTAFFED. For some unknown reason this company cannot keep this operations fully staffed. The hours are horrible if you plan on having any life outside of work(and management expects you to put with over life) Not only will you for sure hit 50hrs a week but often even 60hrs... They do not pay time and a half... their over "overtime" rate comes out to $10/hr...I doubt know how it's legal but they do it. My advice would be to find another job and don't get caught by this sketchy company.

    Advice to Management

Be more realistic in the volume shipments and plus out's. And don't just sit in your butt...if there's a problem...help out. Management makes this job a lot harder than it should be.

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You work independently and get to form relationships with many different people. The position I had was servicing Walmart stores in NW Louisiana.

    Cons

About 800 miles a week travel in your own vehicle. Supervisor was too personal. Aggressively pushed her political ideology which was that Rush Limbaugh is a god. I couldn't work for someone who enjoys hate-mongering. When I opposed her views, I was ignored and was refused to be shipped critical merchandising materials.

    Advice to Management

Counsel management to keep their personal ideas to themselves.

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The compensation is decent and there are a few good benefits, but very little else to look forward to in this company.

    Cons

Constant erosion of benefits, long hours, no family life, hostile work environment from management with little to no support. Management does not take responsibility when things don't go right and is very quick to blame lower level employees. Promotions to a higher position are very rare.

    Advice to Management

Stop giving yourselves large bonuses at the expense of your front line employees. Be more loyal to those who are loyal to you.

    Pros

big company, best practices, okay compensation

    Cons

unrealistic expectations, lost of politics, high turnover due to workload unevenly distributed across people. Smart and capable people get "rewarded" by taking more work from people that don't perform.

Decent Pay. Very good team work between teammates. Product sells itself.

    Cons

Out of touch with the employees that really matter. Way too management heavy.

    Advice to Management
