I have been working at PepsiCo (More than a year)

    Pros

They have great benefits. It is a good company to work for.

    Cons

The morale of the job is lacking. They are all about numbers verses how well the employees are doing.

I have been working at PepsiCo as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

CFS provides work from home opportunities as least 2-3 days a week. Non-micromanaging. Sometimes there are overtime opportunities.

    Cons

Over worked and under paid. Pepsico has contracted work out to IBM, which IBM has hired Manpower Group (temporary agency) to hire contractors. Understaffed because people keep leaving to pursue permanent employment elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Hard to grow in a company that hires contractors. Understaffed because people keep leaving to pursue permanent employment elsewhere.

    Pros

Pepsico is a great company. Forward thinking, environmentally conscious, top product portfolio. Good benefits. Passionate and dedicated employees.

    Cons

The CSC in Winston-Salem is an extremely stressful call center "jail" with ever increasing measures, constant monitoring, no flexibility, no time to do quality work, very low pay, no loyalty and disregard for employees.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees as the professionals they are and the CSC will be better positioned to meet its mission.

    Pros

Worked at Pepsico for 5 years. This is the best company to work for!

    Cons

Sometimes lower level employees have a hard time getting promoted.

    Pros

The only pro would be that you can place a recognizable name like Pepsi on your resume.

    Cons

Too political, merit and talent are trumped by alliances and brown nosing.

    Advice to Management

Hire and retain based off merit, qualifications, and performance not how diverse they are or how long they've been around.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time

    Pros

    Healthcare available after 90 days.

    Cons

For an industry that stresses customer relationships there is without question "Zero" commitment by management to meaningful interaction with Call Center employees. The leadership is strictly driven by a numbers mentality! Commitment to customers is based on service schedules that are either unrealistic or devoid of a serious commitment to staffing on schedules which address clients' needs! Executive salaries are far in excess of their actual contribution to the success of the business!!

    Advice to Management

Demonstrate a daily and genuine interest in team members. Remember, you actually work for them and your success is dependent on them!

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Utilize a variety of skills

    Cons

SOP is scarce. No internal process in place.

    Advice to Management

Implement on board processes for new employees. Took many weeks before I was actually able to use systems. If a process was in place to grant user access ahead of time it would had eliminated down time.
