Coworkers are good, management is "sales-oriented", so the employee is not their main focus.

I worked at Perficient (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Many locations mean varied clients, projects, and platforms - always interesting work if you can adapt to new processes, vocabulary, industries, people, methodologies, and tools.
Coworkers work together as a team. Peers respect you if you pull your weight.

    Cons

Many projects require significant travel, and all travel time I did was not compensated - there goes hours of precious life.
Total compensation was 20% less than the project I switched to.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Return focus on the employee.
In previous lean times, you let great people go if there was no work - I get that. But since then the economy has improved; yet it seems you feel you still have the upper hand. Your sales-oriented (make the sale, figure out the rest) approach will drive good workers away voluntarily unless you care for them, their dreams, their needs.
Foster "humility" in leadership (applies to both team leads and management) - it always helps to work for folks who are humble and approachable.

I have been working at Perficient full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

While I’ve been with Perficient for a very short period of time, less than a year, it’s super exciting to be involved with a number of Clients that are cross industry. Additionally, the competence level of fellow employees is very high and I’ve yet to find someone on the team that is not brilliant in their respective tool or subject area. Lastly, it’s been so nice to get engaged with new practices based on my desire to try new things. Keep up the great work!

    Cons

Try to keep the small company atittude even as you grow

I worked at Perficient full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Work force is very strong technically. Focused and driven staff.

    Cons

Complete lack of vision in upper management
You will grow only if you know the right people - if not you are always an outsider
There is no mentoring, zero training, zero investment in employee's career growth
Its good if you are trying to get some experience. Worst if you already have decent experience

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen and read reviews on what people are saying about the company. Absolute lack of people skills - which is the key for management

I have been working at Perficient full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The biggest asset is the coworkers we have and work with. Multiple projects across various verticals with an implementation and industry focused best practices approach is garnered from within. Everyone strives for the best from the Consultants to the Directors. It does not get any better. One can leverage the growth opportunities provided and unravel unlimited potential for themselves.

    Cons

Nothing as such - nothing negative about this place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing the good work because its working - happy employees are satisfied people who make the company their second home.
