    Good but not great.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsIt's fun. Lots of interesting projects. Fun company outings. Benefits are good. Year end profit share is real nice. The working environment is "cozy", small company feel.

ConsThe culture, what's expected by management, is not clearly expressed.
Measurable goals and objectives are not laid out.
The old saying “one ah-???? wipes out all the Ata-boys” is true here.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake the time to "Grow" your employees.
Change your review process so that it's not so subjective.
    Add some metrics.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Very Enjoyable

Engineering Intern (Former Employee) Phoenix, AZ

ProsPrinicipal/Senior Developers really know their stuff. They are very willing to answer all questions and are really patient with involving you into the project.

Overall an awesome work environment, casual dress allowed.

    Snacks are in abundance

ConsPay needs to be a little bit more competitive.

    Performance software

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Phoenix, AZ

ProsOpportunities to work on many different projects. Free food and drinks.

ConsDemanding hours with no overtime pay. You have to be within a specific group of people to get the recognition and promotions that you deserve. If you are not within that group, very little opportunity for advancement.

Advice to Senior ManagementSome employees who have a lot of experience working on various projects might be leaving because they are not getting the recognition and promotions. This will affect the company because they will be leaving with a lot of knowledge that the company depends on for certain projects.

    Going nowhere fast

Senior Principal Engineer (Former Employee) Phoenix, AZ

ProsNo doubt the people at PSW our great people and fun to hang out with and party with after work. They do hire smart engineers and are able to produce.

ConsThe leadership from team leads through the management chain has limited experience to manage people, manage projects on time, and set a course for sustained growth.
Projects are late internally but overinflated schedules are easy to meet from the customers perspective so a 96% on-time performance seems good.
Good luck getting recognized for your achievements.... Yeah, you'll get profit sharing in December but it sure would be nice to just get a thank you every now and then.

Advice to Senior ManagementLeadership training would go along way for the PLs, TMs, PMs, and on up the chain. The company lacks professionals that know how to manage people.

Hits the nail on the head.

    Senior Principal Engineer (Former Employee)

ProsSmall friendly company and you are recoginzed for your achievements.

ConsYou end up getting spoiled by the benefits, perks, and the good treatment management gives you. This makes it harder for you to adjust working for another company.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue giving your engineers your attention and listening to their issues.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
