Pros
The work is challenging.
Developed a network of colleagues which respect one another.
Cons
In the past several years merit increases were scarse.
Pros
Good people and working with todays technology.
Cons
They needed more cash flow
Advice to Senior Management
They did it and are nows part of Dell
Pros
The company offers good opportunities for growth.
Cons
There are better opportunites in the Plano, TX headquarters.
Pros
Female staff friendly. Have opportunities for on-shore, i.e., working directly at client site. Compensation is good as one moves up on the corporate ladder.
Cons
Lot of bureaucracy. Senior management not capable of handling clients. Politics within the team. Favoritism to some employees. Need for more transparency.
Advice to Senior Management
Have better evaluation standards. Give more incentives to the entry-level employees so that do well for the company. Remove the bureaucracy. Provide more flexibility, like work from home to employees.
Pros
There was genuine care and concern for the employees. I experienced it from the CEO. Receiving an email from him on a Sunday morning for a personal problem. I was pleasantly shocked!
Cons
The usual "office politics" is found even in this fine organization with favoritism and lack of accountability at the senior level. The unfortunate tension between client'e employees who had to be now reporting to onsite vendor was very noticeable and this created unnecessary tension and delayed many projects.
Advice to Senior Management
I would urge them to trust the senior managers who are entrusted to carry out the company's policies and manage their local teams.
Pros
Work life balance is great. We have a world class gym on site. The opportunities for various projects which helps one gain experience is great.
Cons
The salary raises is not that constant and great. Perot pays lower than most of its competitors. Their benefits are great though.
Advice to Senior Management
Benchmark yourself with other competitors so you can retain great talent. There is so much competiotion out there for outstanding individuals.
Pros
I worked as a desktop support for Perot to a local company. I believe my wages were fair and my boss was great.
Cons
I felt that there was zero chance of COL raises or even raises due to performance.
Advice to Senior Management
COL raises are always nice. You can't keep paying people the same amount even after working there for a while and providing excellent work. That just makes people leave.
Pros
no late working pressure ,good company for women
Cons
salry rnge is nt good
Advice to Senior Management
to do more branding in market
Pros
The work life balance was pretty good. A lot of projects are mindful of expenses and thus have the flexibiliy to work at home or take 1 week on client site and 1 week off client site.
Cons
They sell a lot of project at a lower price and make up the different through expense savings. This makes it harder for the consultants on the projects.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your staff and not just the director-level. You need to have respect for all levels and help advance careers other than just staffing as if we are all temps.
Pros
It is an interesting place to work a lot of interseting projects and to work on. My coworkers are generally very nice people and easy to deal with directly. They have a mission oriented attitude and plan and are driven to succed.
Cons
While my coworkers are nice on a personal level, the internal management polices and practices make it a very difficult place to work. They treat everyone like a temp employee. Your job hangs on the whims of the clients. If a client doesn't like you for any reason your gone. This is spun as having a no bench policy, that enables them to be a lean efficent company. The reality is that is a policy that only benifits the corperate bottom line and is used a tool for controling employees by reminding them that they will be gone tomorrow if the don't tow the line and produce. So, if you comfortable in a very political enviroment where there is not a lot of security it is a nice place to work. I would not recommend it for most people.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop treating people as office supplies. They can't be replaced as easily as a printer cartridge.
