I have been working at Persistent Systems (India) full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

May be after 6-7 years in PSL you might get a change to nominated for H1b visa, and that might get rejected for any random reason.

    Cons

Dont join PSL if you are looking for onsite opportunity..
PSL does not work on latest technologies.. it work on the most demanded technology..
if you think of haskell, erlang, swift, golang, docker.. dont join PSL resource management team doesn't know this all..
PSL is not for hardcode programmer. You will not find better programmers to work with in PSL.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you expect more innovation then try bottom up ideas..

    Pros

Flexible on timings (Except for Client calls)
    On premise Gym (Free)
Good number of employee engagement activities

    Cons

    Average pay.
If you are stuck in a bad project, it is difficult to move out.
On-site opportunities are mostly for localites.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Work on the remuneration.
Promote technically strong only and pay them well so that they stick around.
Avoid differentiation (you may have a business justification) and be a good equal opportunity employer.

I worked at Persistent Systems (India) full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good learning opportunities there because of the kind of people and managers that werearound. The people who work there are great.

    Cons

They go to some very good colleges near by (I am talking in context of Goa and Pune office) and hire a handful of brightest and best programmers from these colleges. And when you join as a fresher, you're literally treated as garbage. This culture started after my batch joined and I have seen these kids being treated like they were garbage. I realised if I was only a year late to pass out and joined here. I would have been shamed and treated like these guys.
    Don't misunderstand this review,
Good learning opportunities there because of the kind of people and managers that were around. The people who work there are great but the management and their messed up thinking is just too stingy! They will do whatever they can to save every penny. And because of such attitude of the management slowly good talented folks are leaving the org for greener pastures.
Advice to freshers - join if you're willing to tough it out for initial 6 months.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Read the cons section and act upon it if time permits.
