    I have been working at Personify full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    -Great group of smart people
    -Company celebrations (birthday celebrations, employee events (foosball ball tournaments, etc).
    -Community service (Personify partners with a special needs school and has autistic interns come in to learn on the job skills).

    Cons

    -PTO is just standard (could be more competitive)
    -Middle level management is sometimes not on the same page as the executive team

    -Continue to be present and transparent to the organization from executive level down to all employees

    Pros

    Personify provides very flexible work schedules.
    Current employees are very friendly and adamant at helping new employees become adequate with their new position.

    Cons

    Lack of communication between client department transitions.
    When started, complete lack of any training on application.
    Overall increase of completed billable hours.
    Provides lackluster treatment to employees., especially with the release of employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The treatment of your employees needs to improve tremendously. Tentative of the changes, but am optimistic that this will greatly help the overall status of the company.

    Pros

    Competitive salaries, if you can talk much you can survive ...this policy really works here. Upper management people are influenced by mid -management people...so you know what is happening here:) Technical folks are very good helping each other. CEO ,Edi is a nice human being but he is not aware with ground reality.

    Cons

    Mid level management people are waste. they do nothing except accepting butter :) furnishing oil. They create chaos and making working culture worst. What will happen if you don't have anything to do but just butter .Knowledgeable People are fired due to politics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Make mid level management billable. Tech services is a dummy entity. All the techs works with PM and that's how billabilty is maintained. Base team is their to support tech issues for PS techs. Do you really need guys to just forward emails!

    Pros

    Overall a very nice group of people with whom to work

    Cons

    Many years of trying to do something with nothing and, of course, ending up with nothing.
    My hope is that recent changes to management and financing will result in greatly improved product and career satisfaction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't let old management practices persist under new regime and don't keep people around who are not succeeding. It's not good for them or for the company.

    Pros

    - The Personify management team identify intelligent, hard working individuals and reward appropriately.
    - The already enjoyable atmosphere and culture of Personify is only improving.
    - The usual things such a salary and benefits are as competitive and as to be expected.
    - The people. If you enjoy learning, working, and even having fun with caring, dedicated, and intelligent people, Personify is for you.

    Cons

    - Committing yourself to do good work can occasionally result in working more than the expected 40 to 45 hours a week. It does not happen regularly and is generally expected as a salaried employee in the software industry.
    - For people who struggle with organization and time management, Personify would be difficult and stressful.

    Continue to be the extraordinary leadership that makes Personify a fantastic place to build a career.

    I have been working at Personify full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    - Leadership is down-to-earth and helpful in many aspects
    - Your left to yourself to do your work without someone hovering over you
    - All employees are helpful and contribute to helping others
    - Benefits package is amazing - medical, vacation, etc.
    - Hours are your pick, with options for telecommuting for appointments and sick days
    - Communication is utilized and everyone has an "open door" policy
    - Very flexible schedule
    - Ability to move between departments and advance in your career quickly

    Cons

    - Training is a little inconsistent, and you end up having to go to other employees to be taught how to accomplish certain tasks
    - Days can be long to get work done (though those are few and far between in the CS department)

    Pros

    Great staff consultants who work hard to do what is needed
    Resource teams are dedicated to fix all the software issues as needed

    Cons

    It's a numbers game - must always be billable and utilized or your time with the company is over
    You can be a great resource but if you are not on a profitable project you will be continually badgered to generate revenue
    $$$'s are all that matter to the COO unless you area in the "in group"
    Lots of unethical relationships
    If they are afraid you will leave they tend to throw money for you to stay

    Focus on a good quality product and reward hardwork not only based upon being billable

    Pros

    Competitive pay, bonus for good numbers

    Cons

    Negative attitude persists at all levels in the corporation. Nasty emails and talking behind peoples backs is common. Established political groups have closed door meetings to ensure job security. Everyone in the organization is scared of the owner and COO so priorities are aligned towards presenting the best picture to them rather than the truth. However, strangely enough the managing director of professional services feels comfortable enough to openly mock them in large meetings.

    The only real concern by upper management is that you hit your numbers. This creates a survivalist atmosphere where employees are unwilling to cooperate with each other. The only real cooperation comes from political groups that have banded together.

    You must hit a certain number of billable hours every month or you will have a target on your back. Management has monthly meetings where they review spreadsheets to identify who hasn't hit enough hours. However, once you figure out how the timesheet system works there is opportunity to fudge your numbers - this seems to be standard practice for some employees.

    Even putting all of the above aside, it's just not a pleasant place to work. Perhaps it's because the owner fashions himself to be Steve Jobs Jr. or perhaps it's the focus on revenue generation, but there is an overwhelming sense of uneasiness within the organization.

    Stop focusing on squeezing every last dollar out of customers and focus on improving quality and efficiency.

    The people you work with do whatever it takes to get things done!!

    Cons

    Need to improve quality. Need to be less fixated on resource revenue generation and more focused on the quality of the software.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Support your people and realize they work extremely hard so don't mandate 9 to 5 office hours when people are working 12 hour plus days, taking calls in the early morning, nights and weekends!! .
