I worked at Peter Pan Seafoods full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Great amounts of opportunities to work a lot of hours and make a lot of money, housing and food are paid for with roommates, lots of opportunities to succeed if you work hard. Your money is made through working overtime over a few month period.

    Cons

Very long hours, some 14-18 hour days when the salmon season hits. Little sleep and some harsh weather conditions to work in, especially cold and wet.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's easy to build a good relationship with the leadership in this company as long as you work hard and show that you've got a good head on your shoulders.

    Pros

Very relaxed. You will get a Starbucks card on your birthday month.

I worked at Peter Pan Seafoods full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Supportive management gave a lot of room to learn and work, encouraged cross-training and moving between departments if you want to, and the office atmosphere was friendly. Benefits were good, and extras were regularly given by management. Extra responsibilities were given when the current job became boring.

    Cons

Small company with dedicated, long-time management, so there wouldn't always be a way to advance into the exact role you might like, if you wanted to move up.
