Moving in the right direction.

Recruiter/Account Manager (Current Employee)
Dallas, TX

I have been working at Peyton Resources Group full-time for more than 3 years

ProsStrategic vision, ambition for growth, empowerment to own a project or service.

For the right people(motivated, ability to adapt, intuitive), you will receive the opportunity you deserve. PRG will help you develop your strengths and become a part of something bigger than just PRG.

ConsPRG will reward those that are driven to succeed. If you need a constant hand to hold or colleague to vent with, PRG may not be the place for you. If you are too comfortable in your lifestyle/way of doing things, PRG will challenge you to get uncomfortable so that you can grow.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue to evaulate your staff and processes in an effort to constantly evolve and adapt to the customer environment. You are on the right track and now have the right pieces in place.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

My opinion of PRG

Recruiter (Former Employee)
Irving, TX

I worked at Peyton Resources Group full-time for more than 3 years

Pros-Most coworkers were great to work with!
-Fun environment at times (one Friday a month?)
-Good commission structure for sales team (NOT recruiters)
-Might be an OK place to gain industry experience directly out of college before moving on to greener pastures

Cons-No real leadership or career path direction
-High Turnover!!!
-Very difficult management style/preferential treatment towards some employees
-Salary for all employees extremely low for industry
-Small company promises opportunity and growth, but that is just something that people choose to believe, not reality
-No training/ no consistent structure/ and people are not held accountable

Advice to Senior Management-Need to find a way to motivate employees/keep them from leaving so there are more tenured staff to assist new staff

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

ProsStrong vision and ample resources to help achieve it. Management is always available to assist and help at a moments notice, despite their own hectic schedules. Recruiting team finds strong candidates quickly and is always looking out for the client's best interest.

ConsDifficult industry that demands a lot of time and energy.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue pushing to be the best. Continue to build a strong cohesive team and keep communication lines open and direct.

The grass isn't greener here!

Account Executive (Former Employee)

I worked at Peyton Resources Group full-time

ProsYou have your own office if you are in sales.

ConsOwner is a micromanager, says he cares about his employees but only cares about his pocketbook. Small company and he can get away with saying what ever he pleases to his employees. If you are considering a career in staffing STAY away from this place trust me! He has fired so many people and will continue to do so. This company is headed down the drain real quick.

Insight for considering PRG

Former Employee (Former Employee)
Irving, TX

I worked at Peyton Resources Group full-time

ProsNice facilities with up-to-date technologies (i.e phones, computers, etc.)
Co-workers are generally a pleasure to be around.
They continually seem to be hiring internal staff

ConsExtremely high turnover (in corporate office)
Lack of employee tenure (in corporate office)
Base salary and commission structure is less competitive given the current market
Inconsistent operational structure along with continual (sometimes contradictory) policy changes

Advice to Senior ManagementWith over 12 years in Dallas Market and currently only 2 employees with over 1 year tenure it seems strange that PRG would have been ranked by the DBJ among the top companies to work for in the DFW area. Less micromanagement and more trust and appreciation for your employees.

My Take On PRG

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Irving, TX

I worked at Peyton Resources Group full-time for more than a year

Pros-Commission structure for Account Managers/Executives is decent once revenue is built
-Beer on Fridays... Sometimes
-Once you receive training you can find a better opportunity elsewhere

Cons-Turn-over is extremely high; while I was there, out of 6 recruiters 4 were let go/replaced, out of 4 sales spots 5 people were let go/replaced, the Director of Operations was laid off and the receptionist left
-Overly aggressive and contradictory non-compete/non-disclosure
-President/Owner will hand off accounts and then later reduces commission when those accounts perform well (find your own accounts!!)
-Salary and commission structure for recruiters falls well below market rate

Advice to Senior ManagementHire a strong management team that works together mentoring and managing both recruiting and sales teams.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
