    Pros

    Air conditioned plant. Plant only 3 years old. Nice break room and locker rooms. Matching 401k available to all employees. Greatly reduced supplements and vitamins in company store. Friendly coworkers and friendly supervision.

    Cons

    No trial period to see if you like a new position; must stay in position 6 months before being eligable for move.

    Advice to Management

    Raise base pay for all employees to $20 per hour to increase job satisfaction and meet general cost of living.

    Pros

    Nice people, good products, no micro managing at least in quality group, convenient location right of the highway and such

    Cons

    Management only see the biggest picture and don't spend time to resolve each department's problem which creates a huge problem for company and affects everyone and everything at the end

    Advice to Management

    Our problem is your problem, it will affect everyone and people leave the company because they are never seen for their potential and what they have accomplished

    Pros

    Pharmavite is a good company, they care about their employees offer good benefits and great salaries. The company has been around since the 70s and they are still trying to shed some of the old school ways of doing things. With an aging population it needs to be able to merge the old school into 2015 by implementing changes and new process correctly. There's a lot of great things happening but employees aren't aware and there needs to be better communication. we should be proud of all that our company does and it needs to be broadcast more frequently.

    Cons

    lots of new leaders with great ideas but still trying to get their sea legs and be able to run their teams and it's noticeable at times.

    Advice to Management

    don't be shy to toot our own horn and broadcast all the work being done across the organization. don't just broadcast the bad news. continue to give employees opportunity to grow and have open team meetings. people truly want to continue to make the best vitamins and they need their leaders to provide and open environment to suggest process improvements, ideas and a chance to have better relationships with their co-workers.

    Pros

    Pharmavite is a good place to work. Good Benefits, casual dress, great culture. The company has a long tenure and change is hard with those employees. Over the last 2 years there have been a lot of changes but they are changes needed to continue to grow the company. I am part of a larger team now and there is a lot of room for growth and opportunity for those who want to step up.

    Cons

    Change has been slow but I feel we are on the right track with new leadership in our department and across the organization.

    Advice to Management

    keep promoting within and giving your employees opportunity. It has not gone unnoticed the amount of internals getting to move up and around the company.

    I have been working at Pharmavite LLC full-time

    Pros

    Was given a goodie bag with Pharmavite products, along with a bottle of water and a key chain. Interview comprised of 4 managers one of which was the hiring manager. Each interview was approximately 30 minutes and the conversations went well.

    Cons

    Facility tour wasn't readily available which was understandable considering how many facilities they have spread across LA.

    Pros

    The company is decent paying, and offers annual performance based raises, potential for annual bonus.

    Cons

    Management makes poor decisions which costs the company money. Some of the managers have no backbone and are afraid to confront employees to correct them in doing the right thing.

    Advice to Management

    Hire leaders, not managers. Anyone can manage, not everyone can lead. The overall goal is the success of the business, when you have issues with employees who are unproductive, reactive instead of proactive, you need to either correct the issues, or eliminate the root cause. This is where leadership is key, not management. If you do not know the difference between a leader and a manager, you probably should not be in charge.

    Good work environment. Nice bonuses, good co-workers.

    Cons

    Upper IT management had some issues which have since been resolved. VP and Director level have moved on.

    Advice to Management

    IT was beginning to establish a good relationship with business - communication lines were opening up. Keep it up.

    I worked at Pharmavite LLC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    One of best paying firms in San Fernando valley, especially for the executives, directors and managers. The bonus structure can be spectacular for executives, if business goals were achieved. Supplements sold to employees 80% cheaper than in retailers. Free parking.

    Cons

    Weak leadership is observed, at times making questionable business choices, coupled with top down directions and strategies that often are unsuitable to achieve the stated business goals. A track record of "throwing people under the bus" when things inevitably go wrong, or blame "the weather" for the weak results. High executive turnover and long gaps before replacements arrive make it a delicate work environment. Career progression is more likely if the executive likes you than for having good performance. Good people frequently leave when they cannot get promoted, or do not belong to favored ex-Mars or ex-P&G clans. Lack of innovation and a stifling work environment in corporate offices that favors compliance and loyalty over transparency and respect.

    Advice to Management

    Existing weak business and declining relevance of Nature Made to customers and consumers (while competitors handsomely grow) is largely due to weak leadership in C-Suite, poor strategies, hush-hush and opaque internal climate. Opinion surveys have variously shown all the opportunities, so the information is available, so perhaps Management is more comfortable in the work environment they created?

    Pros

    good medical benefits. Bonus system is a plus. 5% for hourly employees and 7% or higher for salaried employees. MOST of the managers are very laid back and allow you to perform your job without micro managing.

    Cons

    Small yearly raises (a few percent at most). Starting pay is middle of the pack at best so make sure you try to get a little more out of them if they extend an offer. Front office is reminiscent of high school. You are either part of the crowd or you are shunned. As others have mentioned going to HR is a waste of your time and will get you labeled as a troublemaker.

    Advice to Management

    Do away with some of the unnecessary positons. Some people literally do little to no work and get paid crazy amounts of money. Other associates could easily take on some of this work without the need to create a new position.
