Being an MNC, takes longer for things and processes to be completed. Senior Management can be more communicative and approachable.

Employee retention would help the company forge ahead. Can look to work its way into newer markets with innovative products.
Pros
Hard workers and congenial atmosphere. The kind of place where you feel part of a team.
Excellent benefits are hard to beat elsewhere.
Cons
Not someplace you can grow and professional development is almost non existent. Poor mentorship means where you enter is where you will saty ... forever!

Pay more attention to career growth. Allow performance to be entirely on specific and quantifiable objectives ratehr than based on subjective variables. Then use these to reward and encourage professional development.
Pros
Resources and budget are usually available to enable projects to be completed. The company has a wealth of technical knowledge built form years of existence. The work environment is very collaborative.
Cons
Sometimes the complex organization structure can hinder projects or tasks to be completed on time. Discussions are a big part of the company culture so this may extend the timeline for projects.
Advice to Senior Management
A leaner and meaner organization would help a lot in speeding things up and decreasing overhead. A more stringent process and way to reinforce it would also help.
Pros
Philps is a great place to work. Great work/life balance and a lot of flexibility is offered to all employees.
Cons
Not so much a con but because Philips is such a large company it often takes longer to get things done. If coming from a small company it may be hard to get used to.

Try to be more open in your communications to all levels of employee's and be transparent on changes that are coming.
Pros
The people you come in contact with are intelligent, committed and fun.
You get a lot of responsibility at a young age.
Cons
(Sr) managers not always on board and less impressive. Support from your manager varies alot from fantastic to downright crazy (him not me).
Strategy is often a swinging pendulum that creates change much to often for the organisation

Agree on a strategy stick to it and follow through with its implications.

Very Very nice working environment, friendly and helpful co-workers; very good work life balance (just like a traditional European company).
Cons
Jobs are not really challenging enough. Sometimes, it's too relaxing. Information system is not up to date and needed further improvements.

Upgrade IT system as soon as possible with a user friendly interface. More practical training instead of theoretical know how.

- Bad tangible benefits, with bench mark at the 50% quartile.
- Less chance to get promotion, which taking a very long path.
- Lay back environment will make you sleep.
- Job rotations that giving you a higher responsibily with no change of your pay.
- Unfairness varies from each department.
- Old birds with no contribution can takes their own sweet time to wait for company package (more than 10 years).
- ONE IT Services sux, 3 weeks to 2 months to get an user ID created. A simple request need to route few levels to get reply (or totally no reply).
Advice to Senior Management
Proper deployment, town meeting & regular meeting for conduct is a good choice. However, high level of details which doesn't really related with low level... it's just waste of time. We wish to know what are influence to US only.
