Pros
Great company targeted towards being market driven, focused on end users to enrich their lives, it's employees, and via sustainability our planet and society. It;s focus on being a health and well being company provides interesting growth/profit opportunities in an area contributing to the mentioned stakeholder groups.
Cons
Sometimes being a Dutch company we take too much time to discuss, to get everybody on board before making a decision. The markets served (Healthcare, Lighting, Consumer Lifestyle) force to be very cost oriented to obtain the margins which are required to berewarded by the shareholder community, this can take away some of the conditions to function more easily/comfortably and to the best of each ability.
Advice to Senior Management
Walk the walk, Talk the talk
Pros
Big player, well-established company, good to sexy up your CV
Cons
limited freedom due to complex process
Advice to Senior Management
simplify process, encourage more freedom
Pros
Good place for young staff to learn how a big compay operate the business, unless you join TV team, which is hopeless.
Always new products come out, growth opportunity for aggressive people.
Cons
Top management is lack of long term vision and incapable to take the responsibility as a leader. Keep blaming while do not trust subordinates. Same as other big companies, political is very where.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't only care about "today", think about "tomorrow".
