    Pros

    Gained experience in Receiving Inspection with company and Federal guidelines. Great place to work

    Cons

    Contract ended, would like to an offer to become a full -time employee

    I have been working at Philips Healthcare full-time

    Pros

    Good pay benefits and training

    Cons

    Last workforce reduction 1/15. Layed off which was 95% senior(FSE3) only to rehire FEP entry level replacements in 8 months and not rehiring those laid off.

    Advice to Management

    Senior employees have invested their lives in Philips and are let go and replaced by entry level employees. They seem to want loyalty from their employees but it appears to be a one way street. The shame is that in the long run Philips actually loses money doing this due to loss of experience retraining costs and loss of customer confidence. Short sited view in upper management of short term improvement of financials. Laying off employees who may have a hard time finding other employment due to their age.

    Pros

    Good Benefits , Great Cardio Vascular X-ray Systems

    Cons

    Lean'ed too far ..cut backs have really hit the field hard with loss of head count and no new blood coming in. Way too much turnover in upper management. Field has no confidence in current direction

    Advice to Management

    Focus on what our core business is and revenue will follow. Right now revenue is the only thing that matters and customers are seeing the fall off in quality..

    Pros

    Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, and other engineers) to meet project objectives. Great competitive benefits and vacation days.

    Cons

    Internal growth opportunities need to be improved. Middle management need to better define project requirements and have a better way of capturing progress toward those goals.

    Advice to Management

    Short-term project goals needed to be better captured by mid- and long-term goals other than only at SMART reviews, which are done annually. Monthly if not weekly meetings are needed to provide goal-tracking progress.

    Learn what not to do!

    Cons

    Software professionals will find many negative issues with Philips Healthcare CT scanners. Unless you're desperate seek employment elsewhere! Expect a backward ego-filled environment and much chaos. Add in a co-op led random test environment and subservient culture for an inevitable business disaster.

    Advice to Management

    FDA audit the software area this time and close the place down again. Immaturity everywhere at this organization. Scanner patients choose GE for safety.

    I have been working at Philips Healthcare full-time

    Pros

    Was recruited by them straight from college - pay is excellent, definitely comparable or exceeding what other friends with similar majors are earning. Workplace environment is great, everyone there is extremely friendly and supportive.

    Cons

    Nothing major in terms of how they develop the products, although their IT department is a little slow sometimes.

    I have been working at Philips Healthcare full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good people to work with. Was a great company but going down hill regularly. Employees feel like a frog in a pot coming to a slow boil. Management needs to start caring about there team and actually show it. Management likes to treat employees like slaves with phrases like readiness to serve.

    Cons

    Management only cares about there bonuses. They lie to our customers and tell employees if the customer is told the truth about operating policy and coverage it is reason for dismissal. Everyone who has nice things to say is either new or in the office or management. Seems like the latest way to make money for the company is buy taking away benefits and compansation from the little people in the company while management gets fat.

    Advice to Management

    Management only cares about next quarter. Very short sighted.
