Pros
growth, job satisfaction, salary, location, people
Cons
more hierarchy and long interactions.
Pros
Decient benefits: 10 paid holidays, vacation on par with other companies, very generous sick time, STD, LTD especially with more seniority. Pay is average. Good feeling that the products produced are helping people live longer. Products are pretty innovative. Growth industry. Relatively stable employment outlook.
Cons
High pressure company to work for. They'll work you to death: you'll have to give 110% just to keep your job; you'll have to give 150% just to get a COLA raise; you'll have to "walk on water" in order to get a promotion. Management, in general, is through fear, intimidation, and threats. They worship the almighty dollar/euro. They don't really care about their customers, and they care even less about their employees. They give lip service to the old cliche, "employees are our greatest asset." But in reality it's not true. Although their products are pretty innovative, they're also very unrealiable and of poor quality.
Advice to Senior Management
Start treating your employees like human beings and not like cogs in the wheels of industry. You'll find that happy employees will actually make you more money in the long run. If you really cared about your customers you'd work to make better quality, more reliable products.
Pros
Employee oriented
Descent salary package
Good appraisal system so far
Cons
Not so good middle management
Pros
I enjoy the travel and I have one of the best managers to work for.
Cons
The amount of travel that is involved
Pros
- Friendly people
- Working on meaningful technology (such as medical ultrasound equipment)
- Good hours
Cons
- Pay might not be as good as say Microsoft, Google, or Facebook
Pros
You are given the chance to take control of your career and succeed or fail on your own merits. Flexible work schedule. Work from home office.
Cons
The tough economy has greatly reduced available funding for meetings and travel. There is an extreme amount of pressure to limit unnecessary expenses.
Pros
My work help to save lives.
I love what I do in the company.
Cons
Too much effort for such a paycheck; same position in same area are way better paid, I love my work though.
Advice to Senior Management
Please make Salary review for the ones underpaid.
Pros
Good experience, good products, good benefits. Love my customers and how the products are saving people's lives.
Cons
Management seems incompetent. Morale is low, and they do not care about their employees.
Pros
Good compensation package. It's a good place to work if you want a job. Great flxibility and control over you schedule.
Cons
Promotions are based on prefrential bases, you must know a lot of people if you are looking for career advancement. Conflict and contradictions in management makes it extreamly difficult to satisfy cross-functional team and yet performing with excellence. Only upper management is higher from outside and others are promoted within each division only.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve talent management at the employee level, allow cross organizational promotions, remove old management from making prefrential decision making, recognize employees advancement by actually promoting them to satisfy their passion.
Pros
big company, lots of opportunity, good compensation and benefits and we do great things. you own your career and developing it, which is great. global opportunities / projects make for exciting opportunities.
Cons
decision making can me a little slow, consensus building takes time. Andover office space is not appealing (old HP/ 1980's) environment is not ispiring at all.
Advice to Senior Management
let the experts do their jobs.
