I worked at Piedmont Healthcare full-time

    Pros

My position allowed me opportunities to interact with organizational leaders on a daily basis. My professional growth and development were supported by a strong education department as well as the Women's Leadership Development entity at Piedmont. If an employee wants to develop as a Leader, there are multiple opportunities at this organization to do so.

    Cons

The ever expanding size of the organization impedes efforts to develop relationships across the company. . Current efforts to re-organize leadership is affecting employee morale. Currently no effort is being made to help employees to remain connected.

I worked at Piedmont Healthcare full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Number of locations and different types of jobs available

    Cons

inflexible leadership with the introduction of onboarding private physician practices. The culture changed for the worse; demonstrated by a physician who was also an executive being escorted out of the building. No one listened to the employees, management or patients. Wont go back as an employee or even as a patient anymore.

I have been working at Piedmont Healthcare full-time

    Pros

There is a lot to learn about the healthcare field - very versatile and diverse group of individuals -

    Cons

Not everyone is as friendily or willing to assist in patient continuity of care - a lot of "this is not my job" attitudes, the office culture is divided into clicks if you will instead of as team -

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should really listen to their employees and what is on their minds especailly the ones who are always far and beyond, they should be willing to work with employees to assist in their personal life to accomodate the job responsibilities - just becase a job is slated M-F - 8a-5p does not mean there are no ways to work around that schedule to help accomodate a good outstanding employees circumstance - I am by no means suggesting this to be special treatment or the attitude expressing if I do this for you then I will have to do for everyone else - no I believe each individual should be treated on a case by case basis - it is one thing for an employee to take advangtage but is another when an employee is asking for a change in scheduling to decrease any type of write up because of family concerns.
