A very rewarding place to work. Medium size town with good facility.

I have been working at Piedmont Medical Center full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Really has great insurance. Free to see MD. Small enough to have great relationships across many departments. One of the Tenet Corporation's leading hospitals so it gets a lot of positive attention and perks.

    Cons

Can sometimes run lean... making you really earn your dollar. To be medium sized town, ED is incredibly busy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It looks like middle management is heavily burdened and the anxiety trickles downhill. It'd be interesting if executives pulled random floor-staff into their office just to check on things.

I worked at Piedmont Medical Center full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    I really liked my co-workers

    Cons

Short staffed, expected you to work extra hours or come in when you are not scheduled to work.. They cared more about cutting cost than patient welfare. All the focus was on money and making sure you charged every little item on to the patients bill. Staff very overworked and underpaid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat patients and employers like they are human beings

The bottom line is money is all they care about, then patients, least of all the employees.

I worked at Piedmont Medical Center full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Fairly decent pay, nice not to drive to Charlotte.

    Cons

I guess just like anywhere, except maybe worse, some people(their picks) get away with a lot and others get away with nothing!! If they want you gone they'll find a way to get you out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to really look at your supervisors, team leads, and department heads to see how they run their departments.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
