Pros
The Pay is above average for this part of the country
Cons
Pierre is a company without a vision. Even though Pierre emerged from bankruptcy over a year ago, it still acts like a company that is starving and desperate for business. The culture is one where people find joy throwing one another under the bus. It is a face pace place where the scope of projects is always changing. R&D is not respected or well regarded. There is a lack of focus and leadership from upper management. People at the VP level have great work live balance but everyone else is expected to work long hours and answer emails and phone calls around the clock and on weekends. The corporate headquarters is dirty and most gas station public bathrooms are cleaner. This is not a good place to work. The revolving door syndrome that has plagued the organization will continue unless management takes a look at the way business in run by middle management.
Advice to Senior Management
Take time to ask employees about how to improve the work environment. Clearly communicate the corporate vision on a quarterly basis. Value work life balance and create a culture of trust where thinking outside of the box is valued and encouraged. Take a hard look at everyone at the VP and SVP levels and assess whether they are hurting the business with their approach.
Pros
You need a job then and there while you're looking for a REAL job. They hire people left and right and they do alot of rehires too. The work is pretty easy. Either wrapping sand wiches all day or assembling sand wiches on the line.
Cons
Everything. No real training of how to do your job and if you can't do it within a week or so, they'll write you up and eventually fire you, so they say. Only 2 breaks total on a 9 hour shift. First break's only 10 minutes then a 30 min lunch. Standing on your feet in one position all day.
