    Progressive, smart, interesting, diverse company

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Boulder, CO

ProsFree coffee, tea, Izze juices, bread, chips, energy bars, etc.
Good people working on interesting global issues driven by cool technologies.

ConsToo much hierarchy, corporatism, and structure for entrepreneurial individuals.

Advice to Senior ManagementFollow in Google's model to give employees opportunities (e.g. expanding upon blog posts) to perform risky and possibly wonderful research/development for the company; stock/ownership options.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

A great opportunity, but perfection is expected

    Marketing Manager (Former Employee)
    Boulder, CO

ProsFast-growing; 100% self-funded; cleantech focus; no "industry favorites"; wide reach through multiple cleantech sectors (e.g., buildings, industry, IT, transportation, water, etc.); HQ located right on the Pearl Street Mall in Downtown Boulder, Colorado ... with additional offices in Washington, DC, London, UK, and Seoul, South Korea

ConsManagement essentially expects perfection in all facets of work; workloads have increased signifcantly while pay has stayed the same or gone down; Company president has sole decision-making authority over company direction while providing little heads-up before changes are made.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore company-wide communication, especially in advance of major changes; more clear goals & evaluation of employee performance; Don't expect more than 12 hours/day from employees.
