I have been working at Pinnacle Entertainment full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Compensation, benefits, free sodas in the break rooms. I think the CEO is a genuine person and does care about his employees, he unfortunately doesn't know what is really going on in some of his departments.

    Cons

No opportunity for advancement, inept management, catty behavior and favoritism from management. Very elitist, if you aren't management your opinions do not matter or count. We are overworked to the bone and it is never recognized, we are constantly asked to do more. They will lie and smile in your face on the interview and then when you start, you won't even have a place to sit or a computer. The marketing department is a complete joke but could actually be something great if the current management team was replaced with people who actually cared about their employees. I actually was told in a meeting that Pinnacle loves salaried employees because they can work them 60 hours a week but only have to pay them for 40.

    Advice to Management

Try treating your employees with respect and offer opportunities to advance. Let employees do tasks that play up to their strengths. Actually try to implement change instead of just getting by with a status-quo mentality. Listen to ideas outside of management and when an employee has a good idea, give them credit for it. Don't steal it and pass it off as your own.

I have been working at Pinnacle Entertainment full-time

    Pros

Benefits, Some free snacks, Garage parking

    Cons

IT Management, HR and Executives are an embarrassment and a disgrace to work "for", not with since they treat you like you're a slave! No value on your opinion here, one ear to the next out. Very high school mentality, have to keep you mouth zipped and just bow your head to the masters, unless your friends with management of course. They will promote people they like without posting the position, just brings great morale to everyone! The so-called managers they promote lack experience, even the slightest "leader" trait is nowhere to be found on these individuals, some have attitudes like they own the place, but yet they complain about everything. High turn around almost every other week someone is leaving in the IT department and yet HR and the Execs don't do nothing about it. Like nothing happened. If you're interested in a position here, please BEWARE and take this warning. Contact recruiters in town, check reviews here and ask around, Vegas is a small city, but news travels fast. Pinnacle is a joke and soon enough all the pieces will fall and by then they will realize what they have done. Look elsewhere job hunters, save yourself the headache and the drama.
