I worked at Pinnacle Wireless full-time

    Pros

Great potential for the business to grow and be an industry contributor.

    Cons

The company has been through a lot in the past few years. Management turnover has been the only constant. Senior management never learns from past mistakes, and repeats past errors constantly. Too much attention is placed on finding fault, and not moving forward. Not enough of a technical talent pool left to grow the business, and too many Prima Donnas within the limited pool of knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Create a viable future business plan for your employees. Stop stressing everyone out, and treat people fairly.

    Pros

Lots of learning potential as far as the industries goes. Most of the people I met were eager to share their knowledge and help in any capacity that they could.

    Cons

Company is going through a lot of changes. Employees are kind of on the edge. Upper management could show more appreciation for their employees.

    Advice to Management

Show your employees that you appreciate all their hard work. They've been through a lot this past year and could use reasurance.

    Pros

    - Down to earth colleagues to work with. - Free drinking water. - Lots of good restaurants around if you like Chinese food.

    Cons

    - Arrogant, unorganized management with poor efficiency in executing tasks and making decisions. - Unprofessional leaders. Drama oriented. - Dishonesty in business - You will never get a raise.

    Advice to Management

    Go to business school.

  6. Poor management that does not reply to Client's. A do not care attitude and letting the people go that generate income

    Pros

Salary and benefits - only to be taken away.

    Cons

No support from Management. No care attitude when dealing with Client's. Upper management top heavy - and the people actually working are undervalued.

    Advice to Management

Pointless - because they do not care what anyone else thinks about the Company as long as they have a job - even if it is reducing the bottom line. Core values -- a joke with Pinnacle. 5 years plus. Key - know your clients, know their needs and serve them well. Lack of communication to client's was a huge problem. If your Client calls and e-mails you and you do not reply = poor business and management = you do not care about anything other than your own salary. Frankly -- I would have fired all upper management

I have been working at Pinnacle Wireless full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Smaller company with direct access to the owners and Executive leadership for decision making. Tons of opportunity for growth offered by T-Mobile.

    Cons

They ask for help with organization, new people and processes, however, they are unwilling to change the way they do business and will never grow larger than they are.

    Advice to Management

Let go of the Eastern mindset and embrace Western, Corp business practices if you want to grow and compete with what other companies off their employees. Also, don't undermine the experience that your future leaders bring as you have no idea how to compete in the new Wireless space. This isn't 1999 anymore...

  10. Hard working people at mid-lower levels, incompetent upper management

I worked at Pinnacle Wireless full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hard working people at the mid-lower management level and some very experienced Engineers and Technicians.

    Cons

List is long: Upper management is relatively incompetent and vision/culture is merely posters on walls. Most Corporate Senior VP positions, COO, CIO, HR and other key positions throughout the parent company, Unitek GS are recruited from UPS. The CEO and President, Rocky Romaniello is a former mid-level manager from UPS, and despite of recent downsizing all "former UPS' employees have a "walk-out-of-jail" free card. The company is "top-heavy" with a high number of "top-dollar" non-productive overhead positions. A lot of the real competence in the company are long gone for competitors, and the business outlook for this Telecom/Cable Contractor is not too promising at the moment. - Credit Ratings very low.

    Advice to Management

Reward the right behavior and competence, re-establish the culture (walk-the-walk), get more business (strengthen the sales-force) and down-size amongst mid-top level "non-productive" management. Board of Directors should consider a new President, CEO and senior management (preferably with strong Telecom industry background and track record).

There is no management to give advice.
