    Pros

Pioneer is the friendliest place I've ever worked, and they are great for maintaining a sense of work/life balance. Many companies talk about being team-oriented but Pioneer really does have a sense of team that goes beyond just verbiage. They have a very democratic approach to solving issues, with everyone having a chance to express an opinion and be heard. Pioneer has a number of offices across the world and with their global approach it makes for an interesting place to work. Good benefits overall.

    Cons

They're beginning the process of merging with Santander's asset management group, so how that will affect Pioneer's workplace and work culture is to be determined. Their democratic approach can also lead to "analysis paralysis" in some cases that can take a while to resolve issues. Benefits are good, but salaries perhaps lag a bit behind some of their competitors. (But their better work/life balance than most means you won't be expected to constantly put in the intense hours those other firms may expect.)

    Pros

Smaller firm with friendly people. Laid back office in a great location.

    Cons

The lack of communication with senior management aids the disorganization of the firm. Dated technology, lack of leadership, and unstable work environment due to pending merger are the main cons of the firm. The merger is also leading to increased turnover and low morale.

    Advice to Management

Communicate and lead with respect for your colleagues. Mentor younger employees to make them feel valued.

You wear many hats, so it makes you learn a lot of things. Between marketing, investing, sales, etc. Good bonus when you do get it.

    Cons

Promotions are very slow and no raises.

    Advice to Management

provide more clarity on other roles or ways to grow even if it is not in your own position.

The company promises growth from within but you don't actually have too much career related growth opportunity.

    Pros

Salary was fair. Very good fixed income lineup. Excellent place to work friendly, team atmosphere. Everyone there wants to see you succeed.

    Cons

It is very tough to advance from the inside sales position to other places at the company. Favorites are played, but you will get that anywhere

    Advice to Management
