I worked at Pioneer Natural Resources

    Pros

    Benefits. 2 for 1 - 401k match. Halfday Fridays.

    Cons

Once you're in you don't ever have to leave no matter how lazy you are. Longevity of employment = promotion and almost impossible to fire.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the young people. Just because we haven't been there long doesn't mean we are dumb. If an employee already has multiple complaints against them and another person leaves specifically stating that person as the reason that's a huge red flag. Unfortunately this person continued to work and even got a raise and position boost after the complaint was made known

I have been working at Pioneer Natural Resources

    Pros

9 years with the company and I don't have one bad thing to say. They shut down my old department and offered me a job in Texas, accompanied by a bonus for finishing the project we were working on, relocation money and a severance package even though I remained employed. Safety is a top priority and CEO, VP etc are committed to employees and the company. Benefits are second to none, opportunity for advancement is excellent and I plan on retiring here.

    Cons

In 9 years with the company I honestly have nothing bad to say about Pioneer. This company is top notch!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The only thing I would like to see is compensation increases based on time with the company. For instance my 9 years with the company I get paid the exact same as someone with possibly 2 years and the same job title. I would like to see some reward for dedication to the company. Other than that I completely trust Management and believe they make the best business decisions possible.

I have been working at Pioneer Natural Resources full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and insurance, free parking

    Cons

Poor and incompetent leadership and promotes them with no experience
Devious HR people that are aware of wrongdoings by corrupted management but blame the employees instead
Leadership nor HR will address issues brought forward by concerned employees

In order to get what needs to be done, they will manipulate the truth and reward those who have no morals, scruples or ethics.
    No longer a "family" atmosphere
    Favoritism for advancement and transfers
Hire from outside instead of promoting within

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop worrying about your retirement and your stock options
Address issues within the company and stop turning a blind eye to problems!
