Pros
The people you work with. For the most part everyone I work with get along with one another.
Since Pitney has full tuition reimbursement you can work on a degree, or continue your education.
Pitney offers some good discounts from top companies such as Apple, etc.
Cons
Pay is average.
While there are many different job roles available for the most part you really dont see the opportunity for career advancement unless you want to go in a different direction within the company and consider it an "advancement"
Job roles are really not that clarified and in some instances you get people stepping on other's feet so to speak.
Advice to Senior Management
Make sure you have an org that will meet the needs of the business.
Pay attention to where you need to improve and award head count accordingly.
While money in the Share Holder's hands is always a good thing you probably shouldn't be so profit centric. If you lose clients then you dont have to worry about how much you are making at that site. Set your sites a little higher on retaining clients and offering the best service and value you can.
Pros
This company hires any one who is willing to do labor work but pay is so bad. So if you just want to get across and earn a few extra bucks this is the job.
Cons
This company will work their employees and yet pay so little. They always talk about safety but the problems they are causing or making their employees do is hitting that safety border.
Advice to Senior Management
There is no advice to go up to management position. Management positions at Pitney Bowes is bogus and almost impossible to hit. U go in and its only lower levels.
Pros
Medical and dental coverage is really good. They offer 401k matching up to 3 percent. You get tuition reimbursment. Paid personal and holiday time off.
Cons
The pay is less than stellar- You can't afford to support yourself on the wage they pay. Good luck getting any sort of recognition or help from the management- They're about as useful as roadkill. From lower level management to top level management at the site, none of them can seem to run the place successfully. Good luck getting any sort of promotions. You have to be a brown-nosing ass kisser and be "teacher's pet" if you want to advance your career there... If you can even call it that. The people that run the site don't care about you, all they care about is making money. No sympathy there, just dollar signs. Oh, and they also treat you like a child.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your employees. Worry less about you next bonus and taking your own days off- Be there for your employees. We are the ones out there providing the services to the customers, without us you wouldn't make a dime.
