Pros
It's a stable (for the most part) and solid place to work. There are some very good people. I am well compensated for the work I do.
Cons
The work is not that challenging and there is little opportunity for advancement. There is little cross-training and a serious lack of communication between departments. This is a white-male-dominated company and it is difficult for females (and minorities, for that matter) to get ahead.
Advice to Senior Management
Weed out some of the incompetent middle-managers. Some of your best people are stuck doing less than they are capable of. There is a lot of time and resources being wasted. There is a lot of training available but little time or support to take it.
