You in charge to change your life!

    Front of House/Waiter (Current Employee)

Prostraining and office paper work according to standards of all big companies, work-life balance its different story, front house staff usually amazing and back house staff really hard workers for amount of hours they work and countless things they doing to deliver amazing food to costumers. Good tips if you express yourself and deliver best of the service.

Consthe balance between working hours and your personal time totally depends on your manager acceptance you as a person, because they do give training and you able to become good waiter/ess or desert maker or barmen according to their standards. But you totally depends on management of restaurant to get hours you need. With late issue of making contract with minimum as possible hours you can be trapped. ones you can have 50 hours a week another week only 10, and splitted. So its up to everyone how slick you are or good pretender to get rota that you need. They do have a lot of competition but again its depend on your manager what you will get and if you will get some bonus (never monetary)

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to understands needs of your workers, and not only pursuit your targets of company bonus scheme. Making your staff as a team will make more profits and give more productivity to restaurant that dividing them on groups. And most important try to know your staff better.

    No job security

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsVery flexible shifts, lot's of room for promotion, great friendly team to work with, free pizza!

ConsHours can be very hit and miss, management expect you to come work with a drop of a hat, not much training at lower levels, very unfair/strict policies that end in dismissal without a proper hearing.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat everyone as an individual, you can't tarnish everyone with your strange expectations. If someone does something wrong they deserve a proper hearing were they can defend them self.

    Chef (Former Employee)
    Leeds, England (UK)

ProsFree meals, fun place to work if you love cooking, quite easy to make dishes, responsive managers, flexibility in shifts. Almost always got days off when needed them.

ConsVery strict internal rules, very demanding managers, very busy during lunch and during evenings, especially on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to be more strategic in solving problems with waste and stock control.

Staff too hard pushed and not looked after.

    Waitress (Former Employee)
    Sheffield, England (UK)

ProsYou can keep your tips, free pizza!

ConsManagement don't care about staff, waiters and waitresses have to run around doing everything whilst management watch from the office. There is no set finishing time - sometimes 1 in the morning and they try and get as many customers with as little staff as possible - plus if you're not hitting targets they make you feel stupid and that they could sack you any time they want.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop being fake and pretending to be everyone's best friend when they start at the job and then turning horrible and nasty 1 month later.

Nice place to work if you are a waiter, you are allowed to keep your tips.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsIf you are a full time waiter you have good chance,at the end of the month, to earn more money than a manager thanks your customer's tips.
Vegetables and food is always fresh thanks to the internal quality and safety controls, and the high level of training they provide you during your employment.

ConsIf you are a manager you get a lot of responsibilities and they pay is not so good. You are given impossible budgets that make impossible for you to get your bonuses, and work stress-less unless you work on your own.
You are allowed to some meal on shift, but because they are really strict with wastages and cost controls many managers don't allow staff to eat the regular food from the menu.
Since they introduced vouchers, customers started to come to the restaurant not for the quality of the food but only because they have voucher to redeem
