    Pros

    - Being surrounded by top class professionals and having the chance to learn from them
    - There was a lot of room for creativity and proposing new ideas.
    - The salaries were above average for the industry (although it might be changing, as the Guild union now has less influence than before).

    Cons

    - There were big management changes and layoffs during my tenure. This created a tense work environment
    - While there were very smart people working at the PD, management made some strange decisions in terms of the way departments were organized. My department was running great when I arrived and after much shuffling around of personnel, was much less organized by the time I left.

    Pros

Salary a little above local standards.

    Cons

Wastage eat company at one time

    Advice to Management

Try to find a way to be profitable instead of continually reducing costs.

    Pros

Very good training. Good culture overall. Perks include tickets to various events (usually to host clients). Pay is relatively good considering the state of the industry. The company has done everything it can to adapt to new technology and maintain its profitability.

    Cons

Commission structure is flawed such that it's very difficult to maintain earning power over multiple years, however I think that has been adapted since I left the organization. There also were some very unqualified people in important positions with unchecked power.

    Advice to Management

Vet prospective employees and be more careful about hiring practices. I saw WAY too many bad hires both in terms of managers and other employees. There were far more bad hires than good ones, and many were clearly disastrous from the start. Also, find ways to better incentivize employees to remain with the organization.

    Pros

    - more than fair compensation and great benefits
    - company invests in training for employees
    - great environment (comfort, design, cleanliness.)
    - flexible management
    - lean organization

    Cons

The only challenges I experienced were after the buyouts and furloughs, when you had to do more with less. Good experience in getting creative though.

    Pros

Friendly people, reasonable work/life balance, flexibility in job tasks and responsibilities.

    Cons

Paycuts, furloughs, no promotions, no merit increases, no training, outdated computer technology, no investment into business or employees, no career paths, employee turnover.
Instances of nepotism and a lot of politics. Pay is below market range for many positions.

    Pros

Good pay, benefits, and parking is not expensive. Holiday pay, birthday pay, no over time. Otherwise there is nothing exciting about working here.

    Cons

It is not easy to advance within the company unless you are related to someone in management.

    Advice to Management

Implement training programs for management in regard to equal opportunity and communication.
