Pros
Good technology, strong, good leadership while Murphy and new team were there.
Market potential, an established client base and recurring revenue stream.
Cons
Global economic collapse. The company was in financial trouble for years. Under UK employment rules almost impossible to outsource or right-size a company.Welfare mentality of most long term employees in Colorado, non-productive and fought change.
Advice to Senior Management
The Plasmon board sold the company to a VC firm in 2008.Murphy assisted with the sale
and left the company.
Pros
The products were great and the tools and information given to us was outstanding. The ability to build good customer relationships was easy for the most part due to the uniquness of the solution.
Cons
Plasmon came under new ownership and since then the people running it are idiots and crooks. They are not to be trusted so the channle has shrunk away from support them.
Advice to Senior Management
They need to reestablish their channel which will require they rebuild trust and support. That trust won't come easy, but it can come if they do the right things.
Pros
The benefits are good, the work is interesting, and your co-workers are great people. It wouldn't be a bad company if the people and their ideas were taken seriously. If you are looking for a company that values you and your ideas you might want to look for another opportunity.
Cons
The management team is horrible - they don't communicate and the employees are an after thought. The CEO hired his sales team from a previous company and their salaries and inability to sell has run the company into bankruptcy in 8 months. Many of the people who know the products and the company are being phased out in exchange for friends of the CEO.
Advice to Senior Management
Fire your friends and hire true professionals.
