I have been working at Platinum Grove Asset Management full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

there were a lot of smart people and there was potential to do well and learn a lot.

    Cons

unfortunately the business didn't do well over the past few years the firm was small and not a lot of room for advancement as far as titles go

    Advice to Management

there is no advice to give at this point

  2. Platinum Grove is a good place to be for expanding your knowledge base but their payout is much lower than competitors.

    Pros

You work with some of the brightest names in Finance. They have a very academic atmosphere, with a lot of push towards increasing your skill set and your knowledge base. There are frequent seminars on varied topics in academia and finance. And everyone in upper management is well know in the finance fields, not only for their history at Long Term Capital Management.

    Cons

The fund is having a great bit of difficulty in the current economic climate. They suffered quite a large amount of losses in 2008 and have been struggling to stay afloat.

    Advice to Management

Good luck in weathering this storm.
