    Pros

Loved everything. Its is a great company to work for. Very supportive corporate team. Absolutely Great

    Cons

Resigned. TO be honest, I have nothing bad to say. I wish the talent pool for the location was better. Seems as if all you have to recruit is backwood monks.

I have been working at Ply Gem

    Pros

Great work/life balance. Most of the people are personable. HR department has "open-door" policy. Environment is fairly relaxed.

    Cons

No growth opportunities. Bonuses & raises were taken away for 2 years. In 2011, they resumed...BUT bonuses were (again) taken away from all employees except senior management forever. Flex time is forbidden. Communication of important information is severely lacking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop better communication skills so the employees know the company they work for. Incorporate flex time to accommodate individuals who have a lengthy commute. Provide more incentives to employees.

    No opinion of CEO

Management at local level-personable and motivating.

    Cons

Growing company, upper management unclear how to handle acquisition and growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clear direction given to employees on where company is headed.

    Recommends
    Disapproves of CEO
  9. Not a good experience

I have been working at Ply Gem

    Pros

Salary is good, benifits are comparable, paid vacation and holidays as well. Nice building in pleasant surroundings for walking trails at lunchtime.

    Cons

Stressful working atmosphere, a lot of micromanagement going on. To many managers involved in employees day to day work. Do not solve internal problems to make worklife better or customer service flow as it should. No salary increases in 2 years for employees then they offered token increases.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fix the issues within the various divisions to make customer service more optimal. Live up to promises made to customers.
