Pros
i have been here for 2 years now and i think some of the reviews are a bit ott, but that could just be my lucky experience. Overall i have to say i enjoy my job and the people that i work with. Ok we work hard but I like that. Same as others - the food is great, parties are unreal, and I like the people.
Cons
Its always busy and i think that doesn't suit everyone.Dont really get to see the more senior people managers etc.
Advice to Senior Management
Talk more to your staff,
Promote more people from the company
Pros
Going home all benefits have now been removed due to mis management
Cons
Disgraceful management attitude, non executive management fail to make a stand for what is right
Advice to Senior Management
Its pretty hard to ruin a money printing machine but you managed it -congrats!
Pros
all reasons are financial, great salary, bonus, free food, free parties.
Cons
Management is not interested in work/life balance, its just all work and your "life" is Pocket Kings.
Bullying is a daily occurance, anyone who has not experienced this hasnt worked there long enough.
Shocking parctices in HR where employees are dismissed without cause and escorted out the door. Total "clearouts" in departments and new staff arrive in following week.
In 3 years working there I personally witnessed horrifying attitudes of senior management towards employees.
Employees are nervous, overworked and stressed, atmosphere is toxic.
If you have a choice dont work there its just not worth it.
Advice to Senior Management
Go back to the US
They dont care and dont listen about the affect they have on peoples lives.
Pros
great salary and bonuses, awesome offices, perfect food (they have their own chef) many great people working with the company, great company's parties
Cons
the management is not suporting any socializing, except the event s orginized by company, people are treated not very well. No career progress supported by HR and management
Advice to Senior Management
I would suggest to talk to people individualy about their suggestions, support them with the career opportunities, be more friendly
Pros
interesting if you like poker - some good people
Cons
Some not so good people
Advice to Senior Management
Need to understand the issues first
Pros
They have great perks and benefits, good salary range in its industry.
Cons
Totally disorganized, this company doesn’t care about its employees, your work is never appreciated. Management constantly reminds of its authority and will get rid of you when you are late, or asking too many questions. They never promote within the company, but, rather, hire supervisors from the outside. Poor communication with the management and employees. HR works in mysterious ways when hiring candidates.
They put together the best people who could make a great team, but they all lose their potential and motivation in the atmosphere of chaos and tyranny.
Advice to Senior Management
Appreciate your employees and the work they are doing for you, don't be afraid to innovate and make changes. Promote people within the company and give them a chance to grow. Value your customers and get proper customer service training for your employees.
Pros
New, top-of-the-range hardware, nice office, great kitchen with professional chef which is almost free, poker tournaments, great Christmas/Summer parties where no expenses are spared.
Cons
Poor communications from management, long hours are expected (say good-bye to your leisure-time), abysmal atmosphere, people being fired/let go/leaving "by mutual consent" (then escorted out by HR) all around you. Idiotic time-lines, bad managers kept in key positions in spite of poor performance (apparently it's who you know, not what you do), endless pressure, late reviews, poor decision-making, no recognition, bullying by upper-management, work calls received on personal phone at all hours, not knowing who to trust. Key members of staff let go or allowed to leave when dead wood allowed to stay in key positions.
Advice to Senior Management
Staff might respond better to being encouraged rather than being threatened with termination. A great benefits package does not make up for horrific work atmosphere.
Pros
Good salary, food. Office facilities excellent (best of equipment for developers' etc.).
Cons
Management think they own you. Constant death march on certain projects. Poor attitude to their own customers. Very poor team spirit.. Zero communication from management. Very secretive.
Advice to Senior Management
How can you advise an evil organization, become gooder???
Pros
Gourmet lunches and great holiday time! Did I mention awesome benefits.. work life balanc allowance.. and lots more. Whoever does HR did a good job with coming up with this stuff. If you love poker this is the place to be. You can practice and learn with other employees and meet the professional players when they come to the office. The company has grown exponentially over the years, so you can feel proud to be with one of the industry leaders. There are a lot of talented, capable and brilliant people to work with.
Cons
It seems like everything in the company is controlled by less than a handful of people who don't trust anyone else's judgment.
Advice to Senior Management
Stay focused on what is important and delegate responsibility for talented employees to figure the details out.
