Pros
Awesome work life balance, very smart engineers, good overall vibe.
The engineers are very enthusiastic and everyone works very very well together. The work life balance is the best I have ever seen. 40 hours a week was the norm. Everyone pulls together as a team very well.
Cons
Bad commute, long term prospects of company are questionable. The employee turnonver is pretty high. It seemed like there wasn't a clear direction of the company times as we bounced from project to project sometimes scrapping them in the process. This was unfulfilling as an engineer.
Advice to Senior Management
Fully develop the software, then try to sell it.
Pros
As an intern I gained a lot of experience that put me way above my peers. They will not baby you here at all and will give you ample opportunity to learn valuable work experience. They make sure that you understand all of the code base that goes into the product and why the piece you are writing is valuable to the company.
Cons
The major downside is their hourly salary is not remotely competitive. Also, PointServe uses a lot of slogans and appreviations that will take most people a couple months to fully understand.
Advice to Senior Management
To recruit Tier 1 interns you need to raise per hour pay by almost 100%
