ProsThis company cares about the Employees that they employ, The offer continued training if needed in a group or one on one sitting. They offer incentives for their employees.

ConsThat the work they were offering here in Dallas at the time were contracted jobs

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue with the treatment of your employees the love and care that was shown in Dallas, TX doing the Dallas County WorkSource contract was a great opportunity for me and if it was ever to be offered again I would jump on it.

    Government contracts...ride the wave

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Denver, CO

ProsGreat co-workers, willing to help each other out to get the job done.
Nice office. Standard cube layout, but a good location in downtown denver.
Flexible hours. Can work from home if you need to.

ConsUpper management does not seem to understand what it takes to run an IT organization.
Contract negotiations take so long and cut into actual time to work on product.
Latest and greatest is not necessarily used here due to bids on contracts.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your staff.

Decent hours, but lots of job uncertainty

    Training Specialist (Former Employee)
    Milwaukee, WI

ProsDecent hours. They are strict about overtime, so you will rarely have to work overtime. You have your own cube, and a computer, and you work under minimal supervision.

ConsBecause of the nature of the job there is a lot of uncertainty. Government policy changes, which means that budgets change, and your job security will also change. Also, it is boring and you work with a very difficult population. Benefits were not that great, they were very expensive even for one person.

The pay is average, maybe less than average, and your corporate headquarters is located in Wynkoop, CO. You are working in a building that is rented by the government.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more aware of your staff. Come out of your office. Know your staff. Pay them fairly.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Insightful

    Senior Program Specialist (Current Employee)
    Chattanooga, TN

ProsFor the most part I enjoy my experience, professionally and personally, while at PSI. It allowed me the opportunity to expand my professional experience so that I could move on to bigger opportunities.

ConsFor the particular location there were multiple shifts and changes in the upper management which created some difficulties with moving the "start-up" project in the right direction.

Advice to Senior ManagementFrom the "trench-level" it appeared as if the initial research and logistics for the particular contract was wanting and it took 2+ years into the contract to start aligning with the customers goals.

    Salaries too low

    Business Analyst (Former Employee)
    Baltimore, MD

    ProsManagement mostly leaves you alone.

ConsMost employees are hourly, have to punch-in and out using ADP. The bathrooms are nasty, no paper towels in the kitchens. Some managers socialize too much instead of helping employees with their jobs/tasks. How to reach goals is not discussed realistically, everyone's left to their own devices. Managers aren't on the same page. Expect to make 10K less per year than you would normally make. Seems to be no opportunity for advancement.

ConsManagement is absolutely horrible. Teem leads cannot handle their positions whatsoever.
Issues are swept under the rug and never resolved.
