    Pros

Employee discount, good pay, and benefits.

    Cons

Long hours, short staff, 3rd shift floor sets, upper mgmt does not understand how to treat people.

    Advice to Management

RL would have better employee retention if they treated the employees better.

    Pros

+looks good on a resume. reputable company with a track record of success. well respected designer.
    +growth opportunities are available
+company invests in company wide trainings
+culture: loyalty to the brand and aesthetics is key to success and is often felt
    +change: company does change....to a degree
    +employee discount
    +really amazing talent across departments
+networking within the company as you move up

    Cons

-pay and overall benefits is not competitive with the rest of the industry (stores)
-2 weeks of vacation/3 personal days/health and dental coverage
-401k vests after 6 years. 50 cent to dollar match up to 6%. additional year end match if company exceeds financial goals.
-concern for employees experience and concerns is very limited and at times unethical
-work life balance can be non existent in management
-store level training is almost non existent
-limited communication: open communication to a degree. ideas/concerns are welcome if they are in support of the company and/or come from upper management
-honest feedback and constructive criticism is often dismissed or frowned upon
-internal politics comes at the expense of growth, open communication and employee experience
    -technology is well behind competition
    -change: reactive vs proactive
-"drink the Kool-Aid": whether employee can or can't, too much of employee success is depended on drinking the Kool-Aid
    -favoritism over fairness

    Advice to Management

Company values are fading as seen in turnover from top down. Profit is important but so are values. It does not have to be an "either or". It can be both a profitable and ethical organization.
Listen to your employees across the spectrum. While not every "expressed concern" or "idea" is valid, there are legitimate concerns and ideas from every level of the organization.

    Pros

Being able to work for a high fashion company with opportunity to grow within the company and learn new things. Also being able to take advantage of great clothing discounts.

    Cons

Working at night or all night having to restock the floor or having to put away clothes is one of the biggest cons. Also there are times that get really busy and can be stressful.

    Advice to Management

I think its great how polo gives so many people the opportunity to work there. But I would advice that they are careful with management within the store. Knowledge of excel ect. are just as important as management skills.

  7. Great brand to work for if you love fashion.

    Pros

The benefits are amazing, the people who work here want to be here, and there is a feeling that we're on the cusp of great things. People are genuine and the friendly culture lets you feel extremely welcome in the office.

    Cons

Lack of recognition and compensation for great work leads to a low level of motivation. Communication of these issues is also extremely low between peers and their management.

    Advice to Management

Encourage managers to guide their employees toward the skills they need to move up. This will keep employees engaged and working hard to move forward with the company.
