A great company to work for

DataBase, Monitor Technician (Current Employee) Pomona, CA

ProsSome of the smartest doctors and amazing nurses i'v ever worked with. Good benefits, fair pay. They have a lot of other benefits for associates. The hospital keeps improving to meet the needs of the population in the area and surrounding areas. They always give out awards for a job well done and do events not just for the staff but also creates events for the public to enjoy such as: A visit from Santa with pictures taken, etc...

Conssome units are more organized then others.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

A good employer, but only if one is an ongoing employee.

    LVN (Former Employee) Pomona, CA

ProsCompetitive pay scale and some good nurses.

ConsPhasing out of LVNs, which is unfortunate because it is usually the employees who are not RNs that are appreciative and love their jobs, which in turn results in better patient care or overall satisfaction. I guess such things as loyalty, hard work, and consideration of analytical and practical skills in not as important as a piece of paper.

Advice to Senior ManagementI envisioned the direction even before I had to resign, and understand but my past history of being a good employee should have been taken into more consideration. Most of the employees, especially many of your current RNs are just there for a pay check.

    Great place to work

Registered Nurse (Current Employee) Pomona, CA

ProsAlways evolving and provides great care to the patients. Also a multi specialty center. Good pay.

ConsThe HR DEPARTMENT IS HORRIBLE. The Hospital as a whole is reactive instead of proactive regarding everything. Too many new grads.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe proactive instead of reactive. Hire people in HR who REALLY know what they are doing.

A perfect place to work as part of a team serving patients of all ages and acuity.

Registered Respiratory Therapist (Current Employee) Pomona, CA

ProsCo-workers are like family, there is always good teamwork. There are great learning experiences available in all the departments. I love our Respiratory Therapy department!

ConsI travel 40 miles one way but my shift starts early enough that I miss most of the westbound traffic.

Advice to Senior ManagementGood quality patient care comes first. In this economy and "tightening of belts" please keep our workload at a point that we don't have to triage some patients care to meet the needs of higher acuity patients.
